The Archives of Appalachia is a keeper of memories—the written words, images, and sounds that document life in southern Appalachia. We house nearly 18 million manuscripts, 100,000 sound recordings, and 250,000 still and moving images.
The Archives of Appalachia is a unit of the Center for Appalachian Studies & Services at East Tennessee State University.
