What keeps it from getting a 5 is the lane speeds. Every time I go no one heeds the fast medium slow signs for lap swim. The pool is kept around 82° which is a bit warm for lap swim, but not as hot as some places. They have a schedule that includes free swim for kids, a big curly slide, a separate deep pool for diving.
Nice place to take the kid for a swim on the weekends. Well staffed and clean. It would be nice if they had more open/family swim times.
Reliable spot for some family swimming. Theft is an issue unless u have a locker, which we provided. Just make sure u bring ur own lock or pay $5 to use one of theirs
I am a daily swimmer and I love this place. It is well used by classes and swim meets and yet there is always a lane for lap swimming. Front desk folks are courteous and helpful. Showers have good water pressure.
Hear thing I agreed 100% about the free showers for homeless people. Just your right next to a public school that may have to send students off to different schools because they have Homeless people less 1000 feet from there school.
I love the hot tub and my kiddo loves the pool. There's a diving board and a slide too!
Been swimming here for a months. The pool by itself is nice but community interest seems to be outgrowing its size. The high school and club teams practice takes up half the lanes in the mornings and most if not all in the evenings I'd check the schedule, I swim in the mornings so I'm not totally sure. Sharing a lane is typical if you work normal hours and sometimes can be excessive when you get 5 or more people in a lane. It's the only 25 yard pool in town the ymca is 20 yards so it's what we got.
Almost every girl 99 % at the reception desk check in I have found are not inviting nor friendly at all. Zero people skills. It would be nice to be greeted when coming in at the very least. And maybe thank you when leaving. I have also witnessed that they are like this to everyone not just me. Just wanted to leave this review because I don't feel welcomed at all, every single time.
I like how they have changing rooms and girls and men’s locker room One thing I would like to change about it Is that the big pool could be a little warmer it’s too cold!!
My kids love the open family swim on the weekends. Aquatic centers are one of the most amazing parts of any city's parks system and we are grateful for it year-round, but especially for using up kid energy on gloomy weekend days.
