I like the concept BUT!!!! The place was dirty, bathrooms had no paper towels or toilet paper! When they refilled them you got a roll of both no holder nothing!! The people were in all the photos with the wedding staring and watching. Management was nasty!! They never gave you what was promised. STAY AWAY!! If there were zero stars I would have done that!!
Amazing experience from start to finish. Was greeted by Dave the second we stepped foot in the Art factory at 830am who helped us bring EVERYTHING to our room to get ready. Our rooms were fully decorated and set up with Donatas help by literally 10am. Everything was taken care of for us to enjoy our day. Our guests loved the entire experience and so did we! We got so many compliments on how the venue was unique and breath taking. The day went SOOO smoothly thanks to how Dave and Donata run the show. We cant thank them enough.
April 8th our wedding was nothing short of an enchanting dream. Our wedding venue was the perfect setting for an unforgettable celebration, comfortably accommodating our 200 guests with room to spare. The venue itself exuded a charm that was both inviting and grand, providing the perfect stage for our big day. The venue's spaciousness was a standout feature. It comfortably catered to our large gathering, and yet, it never felt overwhelming or impersonal. Instead, it fostered an atmosphere of intimate celebration, drawing people together in shared joy. The services and amenities provided by the venue were nothing short of top-notch. The design team had gracefully combined simplicity and sophistication to create a stunning landscape that echoed the purity of our love and the elegance of the occasion. Each table was adorned with a magnificent centerpiece, a captivating blend of white orchids, softly glowing candles, and reflective mirrors. These centerpieces drew the eye, creating a visual symphony of light and color that was as mesmerizing as it was romantic. The candlelight imbued the whole room with a warmth and softness, adding to the dream-like atmosphere and making the white drapes and orchids seem even more ethereal. The festivities lasted until 5 am! The music was truly the heart of the party, setting the rhythm for the night and making it hard for anyone to resist the call of the dance floor. Thank you so much David & Donata for making our special day come true!
The Art Factory truly gave us the ambiance and atmosphere we envisioned for our day. Our guests told us it felt like a movie and our reception was an incredible party atmosphere. However, I would NOT recommend The Art Factory to other couples. They are not communicative throughout the planning process, even days leading up to your wedding. My day-of coordinator unaffiliated with AF and I had to provide numerous follow ups to get responses in Basecamp. Art Factory did not execute my vision from the 1 custom decor piece they promised to the general decor I requested based on their own reference photos. Luckily my guests had no idea, but we paid $12,000 for the space and decor only, which is a lot of money for so many misses. We had a virtual walkthrough, in person walkthrough, plus a thorough document I put together outlining the floor plan and decor needs, and yet they still didn’t deliver. The part I was most upset about is that we repeatedly asked if there was anything else happening on-site on our wedding day and they confirmed it was only us days before our wedding. I was shocked to find a whole film crew outside my bridal suite. The filming prevented us from taking photos in our planned locations, including the main courtyard. AF knew we were planning to do photos there per our event schedule and meetings. Lastly, the owners will not take care of you. David greeted me when I arrived on our wedding day, but no one checked in or said goodbye once the event started. I have no idea if any members of AF were there during our wedding. Overall, the owners will not take care of you and they pay for most of their 5 star reviews on Google. If it weren’t for our DOC, the day would’ve been ruined by AF. There were many more misses by AF, but my DOC was able to resolve them. UPDATE: Yes, Art Factory is correct in their response that I inquired about a potential surprise birthday party for my husband, but this is unrelated to my review. All of my wedding vendor reviews were posted the same day when I had an opportunity to thoroughly write them. I am in no way upset with Art Factory that they would not allow me to book a space in advance; simply after talking with my husband, he changed his mind on wanting a big party. I would've posted this review either way because it is true. Yes, the Art Factory space as a whole gives a beautiful and unique ambiance, which is why couples book with them for their wedding, but Art Factory didn't execute our decor properly from our outdoor layout, to the ceremony pews, to the frame display, to the correct bars, and more. For $12,000 it is upsetting that we didn't feel that we got what we paid for and what we agreed upon in our meetings with the Art Factory staff. Would I recommend that others book Art Factory for their once-in-a-lifetime wedding, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Would I recommend using the space for a small gathering of <40 people for a birthday party with no decor needs. Sure, take advantage of your "lifetime membership" and for an event that's not high stake with nearly 200 guests. My husband's birthday is not until December, so the fact that Art Factory would post our private conversation regarding SURPRISE potential plans is terrible. I hope my husband doesn't see this.
DISGUSTING WAY OF RUNNING BUSINESS, DISGUSTING VENUE- UNSANITARY FOOD AND UNSANITARY BATHROOMS FOR A WEDDING. OWNER RUINED MY COUSINS WEDDING DAY AND MADE HER CRY THE WHOLE MORNING. RUN AWAY AND DONT BOOK HERE David and his wife are not people you want to deal with, especially on your wedding day. Below are pictures of the venue when we got there. It has not been cleaned since the day prior. They treat their workers horribly as well. The building should be inhabitable. They did not deliver what was in the contract and punished the bride on the day of her wedding. Lied to her face and kept us in a room that was over 150 degrees while the whole place was empty. Threatened to turn the elevator off for the guests. This is just a little bit of how the day went. Beware
This wedding venue is absolutely amazing! From a guests perspective I can tell you this was one heck of a wedding! We’re from the Midwest so we’re not used to this kind of place and the venue just looks like some old factory on the outside but walk inside and WOW! I think the hardwood floors predate our state! The staff are all very kind and eager to lend a helping hand, the food was to die for and the entertainment couldn’t have been better! All that being said, I would highly recommend booking this factory place for your wedding!
Something seems oddly wrong or intentionally misleading with the 1-star reviews you see here. It’s like a gang of people are trying to cause harm by saying the same bad things over and over that simply aren’t true, or at least we didn’t see any of it and we were there for 17 hours. We celebrated our son’s wedding on Saturday 9-30 when there were 3 other weddings and we were honestly a little scared from reading the reviews but it was absolutely marvelous. Our day-of coordinator was Chris, whose sister got married there and whose mother MOB! is the architect for the Art Factory. Couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The bathrooms are spacious and clean with baskets of essentials and well-stocked. Everything was clean from the moment we arrived at 8:30AM and stayed that way even though they were moving furniture and setting up props and decorations and signs and customizing the space throughout the day. Our family and friends haven’t stopped talking about it! Do yourself a favor and go see for yourself before believing the negative reviews. We plan on going back when if! our youngest gets engaged because there is no other venue like the Art Factory! Thanks Donata! You created a Very special place and you made our family very happy!
The Art Factory combines rustic charm and affordability. We recently celebrated a milestone birthday here. The venue possesses an appealing loft/factory aesthetic. The staff is friendly, collaborative and accommodating. There is ample parking, whether on the premises or in a lot only a few blocks over. If you park in the aforementioned lot then you're in for a treat, as fantastic old-timey trolleys will shuttle you to and from the venue. We will certainly be back to explore the space further, as it is huge and no one room is the same. Each space in the venue, although different, serve as blank canvases to truly bring whatever event you may be celebrating to life. We cannot begin to issue enough thanks to Donata and Dave, and every helping hand we encountered while setting up, and throwing, our party.
he Art Factory is an absolute gem of a wedding venue in NJ. Its captivating ambiance and unique artistic touches provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, creating unforgettable memories for us and our guests.
A Facade of Charm, A Reality of Disappointment... The Art Factory, with its deceptive charm, unequivocally delivered one of the most disheartening and chaotic experiences I've endured as a bridesmaid. Don't be fooled by the aesthetic allure; it masks a level of incompetence and disregard that is truly staggering. Drawing from my wedding planning background, I can assertively declare: The Art Factory's failure to communicate effectively is not just disappointing, it's outright disrespectful to any couple dreaming of a seamless, joyous wedding day. The bride and groom, who should have been basking in the delight of their union, were instead plunged into a cesspool of unnecessary stress and anxiety, thanks to the venue’s abject failure to provide a Day of Coordinator – a fundamental necessity, not a luxury. It baffles me that we found ourselves desperately chasing the owner, demanding explanations and actions on agreements that should have been seamlessly executed without a reminder. Our efforts were met with a disheartening blend of apathy and unprofessionalism that I find hard to put into words. Beneath its enchanting veneer, The Art Factory crumbled spectacularly, failing to uphold even the most basic principles of event hosting and coordination. My vehement advice to all considering this venue: look elsewhere. Navigating through the communicative wasteland that is The Art Factory was an exercise in futility and frustration. The silence from their end was deafening, punctuated only by the rare occurrences of interaction, which were, without exception, brimming with condescension and rudeness. Emails sent into the abyss of their inbox were greeted with radio silence and attempts to gain clarity or resolution in person were met with an astonishingly brazen display of disrespect. It is bewildering to witness a venue, ostensibly in the business of facilitating joyous occasions, operate with such a glaring deficit of basic etiquette and communicative decency. Prospective couples, be forewarned: expect to be ghosted, disregarded, and treated discourteously by a team that appears to lack even a basic understanding of customer service and common politeness, with the owner herself embodying a persona of rudeness and non-communication. Seek a venue that offers not just a beautiful backdrop, but a competent, reliable, and respectful team dedicated to ensuring your special day is as splendid and stress-free as you deserve.
