Born and raised in New Jersey, Tegan James is a writer, poet and visual artist residing in Rehoboth Beach, DE. His art includes pieces that serve to reduce discrimination & raise awareness on various subjects including but not limited to the LGBTQ community; addiction/recovery; and mental health.
Tegan hosted his first solo art show in April 2017 in Metuchen NJ. A selection of 12 mixed media paintings on canvas and paper were on display for two weeks. The show titled 'You Think You Know Me' was based on his experience of coming out as transgender.
Tegan is pursuing a degree in Fine Arts. He completed his most recent courses at Middlesex County College, Edison, NJ. Aside from freelance/art commissions and graphic design projects, Tegan has enjoyed instructing paint parties at Pinot's Palette, Manalapan and also hosts tile art paint parties for adults and children in both New Jersey and Delaware.
