I purchased the tickets because I was tickled when I saw the ad for New Year's day 6p.m. The wait was 3 minutes tops to enter and check in was easy. All the employees were very courteous. The imaging was beautiful. I'm a big kid at Christmas so this touched my husband's and my hearts. The bar was small but nice and clean. The bartender asked us this was a date night and we received rose'. The drinks were well made and cute. They were not stingy with the alcohol. My only disappointment was it was too short, but that will not stop me from returning for future exhibits.
It was my first time going here and it was nice experience. They do not let you in early so I would not get there too early because you’ll need to wait for designated time slot. They provide an overview prior to going into the room with a video. It was a visual cool experience with sounds, video and lighting. I think we spent about 20 minutes in the main room and then probably 20 in the other two rooms. It’s a solid 45 minute experience if you are not drinking at the bar. Yes, they have a bar inside the main room. Also, they do have a coat room for guests as well. It’s educational and fun. It’s pricey about $25 dollars with taxes on the weekend but it was worth it. Staff was helpful with explaining the various exhibits to the guests. The mens bathroom was plainly nasty. Yeah, I would try to avoid it if you can. Overall, I would recommend this place for an interactive art experience!
Smaller than I thought, but very pretty and interesting/ exciting installations. 5 stars for the artists work. They ran out of drinks/mixers tho was included in the date ticket. Enjoyed the showing still, don't think I was in there more than a hour TOPS. Would go earlier in the day to avoid drink issues ‍. Parked in lot, quick walk, think was $15.
This is one of the wildest art exhibits I’ve been to and I mean that in the best way. A total sensory experience. The visuals are so vibrant and the music creates an amazing ambiance, all of it built on a foundation of neurology and science. You could spend hours enjoying the show. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night but still plenty of room to make it feel like you had your own space.
The art was absolutely incredible, check-in was seamless, and the bartenders were lovely. We my husband and I went on Saturday, February 4, 2023 and had tickets for 8:30 pm. Starting at around 9:30, one of the front desk staff kept coming up to us saying the gallery was closed even though we had 30 minutes to closing. By 9:50, this same individual started coming up every 1-2 minutes. Finally, around 9:59 pm, my husband tried to gently explain that I was still finishing my cocktail but she came back about 60 seconds later to tell us the gallery was closed. I was doing my best to finish my cocktail and by 10 pm, she stood right next to me as I continued to sip on my drink. We exited the main gallery space and went to put on our jackets at 10:02. The same employee kept telling us the gallery was closed and we were practically sprinting up the stairs to get out. I feel so bad to leave a low review but this one staff member put a damper on what was truly a very fun night. I certainly do not want to keep people past close and I was trying to finish my cocktail quickly without a chugging it down. To me, this indicates that ARTECHOUSE isn’t paying their employees well and certainly not enough to keep them there 30-40 minutes past close to allow guests to calmly exit. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll go back. It was too expensive for the experience to end that way and I worry that staff aren’t being properly paid for that level of pushing people out the door. I don’t think I’ve ever been forced out of a place like that before and it’s a shame, because ARTECHOUSE is truly a special place.
I went with my friends after having had great experiences at the NY location. This installation by Quayola was beautiful and entrancing. It was so interesting to see how the coding connected to the musical instruments manipulated and altered the colors and projections. There was a really nice walk through on the side that gave more detail to the exhibit and a bar with drinks centered around the design and theme of the installation. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to see what other installation arrive this year.
I went there last night with a friend, and we had a good time. I appreciate all the hard work the artist put into create these amazing pictures. These artists deserve a 5 stars. It might have been my high expectations influenced by the ads. The staff were doing their work, but they seemed in a rush all the time, I understand they are humans. There were a few small rooms to walk around, and then there was the main room which was really cool. The place was small, it says it’s House, so it makes sense. You can check everything and take pictures in 15-20 minutes. The price was alright, not expensive but not cheap.
I enjoyed the Artechouse DC. I had no idea I was going until my sister decided to grab tickets.I like that art has elevated and is existing with the modern day tech world. Lets be honest, this is cool, but the original creative art will never go away. Great concept.
A truly Amazing Place!! Gift shop is Great! The Art is Absolutely Beautiful! You can purchase NFT Art, they have a Bar! You can sit anywhere and it will truly be a one of a kind experience!!
We went on a Sunday at 1030a so there was an empty parking garage and only 2 people in the exhibit before us. I enjoyed the experience but don't have to go to something like this again. The exhibit was really nice and you were immediately immersed in the art. They do have a bar but it opens at 4p. So if you don't drink or go when the bar is closed its about a 45 minute experience with no people.
