The ranger refused to do the Junior Ranger badge for my daughters because she said that we hadn't walked enough trails for them to possibly learn anything about the park. The lovely ranger at another visitor center happily talked with them about what they had seen and learned about the park, giving them their badges. Kids can learn a lot without doing a 6 mile hike.
Recently opened. one of the two entrances is closed due to heavy snowfall and rain. Plan ahead and visit early to avoid long lines.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entry$31+
Located at the base of Sequoia national park. Most of the prominent locations in the park are about an hour away from here, following a scenic drive. The ranger guide was super helpful in suggesting places to visit on my two day trip.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Loved the staff, they have so much patience at explaining all questions, and help with trying to make sure you have a great experience at the park. And behind the visitor Center building, there's this amazing river the trail starts behind the basketball court.

First time camping. Very clean & open space. Provides a grill with fire pit. Very nice! Definitely coming back again but in the summer. It was too cold at night lol. Love the crystal caves as well.
Really breathtaking national park. The must see places there is: Museum, Sherman tree, Log tunnel - and for the most important: MORO ROCK. The entree is 35$ for 7 days. And BE SURE that you tank your car before entering, because drive to the top will take you sometimes more than half of a tank - depends if the car, but they road is really dangerous and really inclined, and there is no gas station up there, so that’s important, believe me. Overall really great way to see something which is only there on the world
Great place to get maps, info and gifts before heading into the park. Also a great idea to use the bathroom before heading to the mountainVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
Doesn't open until 9am and then rangers set up outside. Nice native landscaping outside. Bathrooms were open before 9... nice quick stop for me, enjoyed the lupine in bloom.
Lots of information about Sequoia trees. Small store next door. Good bus service from here to General Sherman and backVisited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
