Went to my first appointment today and was very pleased with my experience! Everyone was nice and Dr. Lu did a wonderful job. Definitely recommend!

This is my first visit at Asheboro Family Dentistry, and it was a great experience! I am so bad with games, so I apologize ion advance, but the person who made my appointment was very nice and professional, the technician that did, my x-rays was kind and professional as well. Their office was extremely clean and smelled wonderful! I really liked Jim Lu, Dentist that I saw that day. Not only did he address my dental conditions, he also linked it with the medication’s I am on, and some of my diagnoses to explain some of my symptoms to me. That is an example of how thorough he was. He even wrote me a referral to a oral surgeon! I would definitely refer my friends, family and anyone to Asheboro Family Dentistry for their dental needs!

just had my first visit here, I hadn’t been to the dentist since I was 17 I’m 24 now, and my teeth used to be moderately good until the pandemic/depression made upkeeping regular dental hygiene hard I was brushing once a day and not flossing at all so naturally I developed 2 really bad cavities and then my wisdom teeth started coming in and I finally had dental insurance so I decided to bite the bullet and go even though I was super afraid the dentists were going to be cruel and mean about how bad id let my teeth get; so in my opinion a dentist who said nothing too much was perfect for me, I didn’t get a lecture during my cleaning and Dr. Lu mapped out a perfect plan to get my teeth back into a good state and wrote a referal to have oral surgery and let me know how important multiple brushes per day and flossing was. I’m very thankful this first visit was met with kindness and a lack of judgment because that was 90% of what was keeping me from going, I hope following visits are just the same.

probably one of the worst “cleanings” i’ve ever had, he didn’t even clean my teeth he just scraped them and went over them with a water pick full of mouthwash and called it a day. will not be returning.

Dr Liu and his staff is great. The process to set an appointment was fast and easy. Reminders are sent to help you remember your appointment. Check in was fast and friendly receptionist. Dr. Liu was friendly and thorough. Definitely recommend

The only reason I gave it 2 stars, was because his assistants were nice. The doctor himself - HORRIBLE! Customer service is not his thing. He was very rough & continued to be rough after my responses to his work when cleaning my teeth involved me jumping, moaning, almost in tears. Prior to him starting I explained I had just had surgery AND had my wires tightened - it’s very clear he didn’t care. He would snatch tools out of the assistants hands, sprayed me with water all over my face multiple times with no consideration of giving me a towel to wipe myself/clean up; just carelessly waving tools around while they’re running. No conversation, confirmation of discomfort, treatment recommendations, not even a “goodbye”. Just said “alright, we’re done” & left. The assistant was so uncomfortable she ran & got me a paper towel to clean myself up. I don’t EVER do reviews so this was a pretty bad experience for me to leave one. Coincidentally I ran into a family friend when I was leaving & she was telling me how her daughter had a horrible & similar experience with him as well. This doctor is too rough & clearly has not been checked on the way he conducts his practice. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A SENSITIVE MOUTH!

I had a really bad toothache and abscess and couldn't find any dentist to see me on short notice.  This office fit me on the schedule the same day.  Dr. Lu and his staff explained everything to me thoroughly and got me out of pain.  I really appreciate the compassion and patience they showed me.  I highly recommend them if you are looking for a dentist.

I have been going to Dr. Lu for dental work for a couple of years.  I recently had to get a very old crown replaced that had been giving me a lot of problems.  Dr. Lu did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier.

The dentist never stepped in front of me to actually speak. He only spoke to me from behind the chair I was in. Other than asking if my gums bleed or telling me what direction to turn my head he had zero "bedside" manor. The receptionist and dental assistant were professional and friendly.

The new dental assistant, Jasmine, was wonderful! I've never had someone give me tips on how to get through dental impressions without gagging. Her tips worked, and it was a quick visit because of her efficiency and helpfulness. Front office staff is nice as well! I've been going to Dr. Lu for over 2 years now and very pleased.
