Since 1993, the Initiative has proven to be a dynamic resource to the greater Philadelphia Asian American community through workshops, exhibitions, and performance. The Initiative engages the history, culture, and current-day conversations of Asian Americans and responds to the needs of youth and others for avenues for creative expression. Today, the Initiative touches thousands of people in the Philadelphia region as a recognized voice for Asian Americans. The Asian Arts Initiative is honored to have been recognized with the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts.

Philadelphia needs youth of her Communities..it really reflects the contributions of so many American students of diverse customs and traditions...things that bring a real flowering of civilizations...suches of what they do today..is what happens now..young spirited revolutionary..Arts, that promote international congress..of dy namic knowledge...very capable energy..that can change many things..in the spirit..of human wellbeing...Youthful era..born in pains of workers and diginty of educations..that spreads geographical enlightenment..such as we need..people..

This is a great venue for organizing events while also serving as a community center. The staff is excellent and very helpful, and they have a wide range of events that are going on at all times to engage people.

Grrat affordable venue with access to multiple spacious floors, and rooms for arranging great events or show cases. Easy to get to.. Good location.

Dream Space event was excellent and the art available for purchase was all wonderfully curated. I enjoyed the event and the space.  I wish I had been able to visit the installation but it was too late. I'll be back to check it out!

Love this place! Great venue for events, there’s a kitchen for heating food and the 3rd floor is awesome floor space with options for setting up. Great staff too, very helpful.

I attended an anthropology project on Roti. The Management, staff of the Asian Arts Initiative center and even visitors were extremely cordial. There is an atmosphere of warmth and friendship. All of us should look into supporting the worthwhile causes taken by the Asian Arts Initiative org. This place is especially hosting many Native American artists in 2022 calendar year. I would love to go back and be part of this Native American celebrations.

I had my DIY wedding here on the 3rd floor and I was very pleased with how it turned out! They recently renovated the floor so it was even nicer than when I first came for my walk-through. I love their string lights, uplights, and other amenities of theirs that I was able to use without worrying about returning to another vendor. Would definitely recommend having your wedding here and book Chef’s Table Catering like I did! They are already familiar with the venue from working other events here.

Matt was amazing! We were able to have the wedding of our dreams in Center City.  The space was easily large enough to accommodate our ceremony,  cocktails, and 140 guest reception with a 7 piece band and DJ.  And BTW - having the guests view the gallery while at cocktails was an extra bonus! Highly recommended!

We had our wedding here and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and on top of everything. They made coordination with all of our different vendors a breeze so we could enjoy the day. I cannot recommend this venue enough!
