There is no more powerful example of the love and joy that animals add to our lives than a visit to this park. There are pet and at least a couple human graves dating from the 40’s and up. The newest grave I saw was from the early 90’s. I searched online and I was able to find one photo of what the park looked like while it was open and maintained, it looked pretty awesome back in the day. The park has obviously been closed for some time now, Mother Nature is reclaiming the land…but somehow that make this place even more special. If you love the love we have for our pets you’d enjoy a visit. The love was so powerful I cried.
What happened to James Thompson? Where is he now?
There's really no other place like it. This place will tug at your heartstrings in a way a human cemetery doesn't. Highly suggest taking a contemplative walk around the grounds. Definitely take a camera, too.
This place is wonderful. Well worth a couple of hours wandering around.
When you visit you are in the presence of absolute love.
