We recently visited Audubon Park in New Orleans and had a wonderful experience. The park is great for walking and jogging, with scenic views and plenty of room to stretch out. It's also very relaxing, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for family outings. The park has some nice features, such as playgrounds and picnic areas. There are also plenty of benches throughout the park which are great for sitting and enjoying the scenery. The park also has some beautiful trees and gardens which make it very pleasant to stroll around.
Beautiful area of town. You can take the St. Charles Street car or the Magazine Street bus. There is also plenty of parking. The paths are shaded by live oaks. Part of the trail is near water, so there are ducks, turtles & water birds. The main path is concrete with both bike & walking lanes
One of my absolute favorite places in the city. I typically walk the 2mi loop on the north end of the park. The massive oaks, the rookery, the wild life, the meditation garden, are all spectacular to relax after a long day at work. Highly recommend visiting this park.
This Zoo has the potential to be amazing, but it's like a ghost town now. The animals are awesome, but the facilities really need some help. Maybe it is from lack of funding or tourism. So please visit it because it would be a shame if it had to close. Maybe we were there on an off day. It was the middle of the week, but it just lacked life. It is a beautiful property, however.
Walked around on the jogging path near the golf course. The oak trees block out most of the sun, making it a cool, relaxing place to walk. There were beautiful upscale houses to look at and, of course, all of the trees.
I ran my first 5k here when I was 16. It was sponsored by The Krew of Tucks. I won Brooks Villanova running shoes . After college at SLU I would return to win many more races. I love this park. It has a great loop for running and cycling with plenty of shade from the Oaks.
Absolutely beautiful park. Nice wide paths for walking and bicycling.nice ponds . Lots of birds and turtles. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy. There are restrooms. Overall the park was clean.
Beautifully manicured, challenging golf course. Wonderful , friendly staff. It's easy to forget that you're in the middle of a city, with the secluded feel of an oasis. Great bar and restaurant, and well-stocked Pro Shop. Excellent experience
I had a great time enjoying all the animal. FYI You really need more than one day to see the entire zoo.
If you’re a tourist, a long-time local, or a college student. Audubon Park is a must visit. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the shade of countless hundred year old oak tress! Or hit the golf course! ‍… have the kids with you? Swing by the Zoo! It’s actually one of the most impressive zoo’s I’ve ever been too. Enjoy the NOLA vibez
