My granddaughters attend day care at this location. Several of the staff were Questionable. Eventually all of the Foul staff members have been removed. They have been replaced with Amazing teachers. Actual Teachers. Absolutely a Wonderful learning environment and experience for the children that attend the program.
The center has loving teachers, I feel my 2 children are happy and safe every time I drop them off! They are so eager to go to "school" and miss their teachers on the weekends. The teachers are so friendly and welcoming, that they put me at ease from day one to drop my kids off while I am at work.
I left a review that was somehow removed, however the childcare center here is very poorly run. My daughter attended for two years and besides the revolving door of teachers and a missing director this place was over crowded with children that there weren’t enough staff to thoroughly watch, just enough to stay in ratio children with serious behavioral issues that effect the children who actually wanted to learn and a staff that pays no attention to your concerns. Hopefully google doesn’t allow this review to be removed, want to warn the next parent.
This was the worst experience I ever had putting my 2 children in their center. One teacher sits on a laptop and leave the children to play. I have witness another teacher yelling and grabbing a child. My daughter was in the stroller screaming while the teacher kept on pushing the stroller, than when she seen me walking towards her she tried to then console her. Her finger was pinched in the buckle, when I picked her up she also had a fever, I was not notified. Another incident happen and my daughter had bit marks on her. On her face and when I got her home she had another on her arm. I was told. "They didn't see it happen and things like this happen all the time." I know my daughter had to cry after she was bitten. Another teacher made a comment to me and said "At least you come and pick your children up, where are the rest of the parents." Just plain ignorance. I would not recommend this center to anyone with my bad experience here.
I only got as far as a tour for the childcare center. The tour went fine, and director mentioned of a friday spot being available. I filled out the paperwork and returned it. Receptiionist said that she emailed me stating that there was no availability and placed me on a wait list. I insisted that I never received an email, and opened up my email in front of her to troubleshoot. She said that she did send it because she got the message in front of her. I checked my spam, and did not find it. Later on, towards June, which was when the new class was coming in, the person on the phone said that I was not on the wait list. They probably did not want my son since he is autistic.
Incredibly unprofessional. Followed up my tour with and email of questions I had thought of after the fact. No response. Emailed again, no response. I called numerous time and couldn’t get through then once I did told the director was no longer working there. I was assured my son could start there in October during my tour. After telling me the director was gone, last email to her bounced back as unable to deliver they told me they would not be accepting anymore kids and did not know how long that would be true for. I told them I was promised October start up for care and her response was “Well we have a number of staffing issues...” so now I am back to square one with very little time left to find care. Terrible experience I am so disappointed in the Y.
Disappointed to even be calling this a YMCA, in a rented out office building with none of the YMCA programs/activities of a YMCA. No complaints towards the daycare they offer. Complaints towards the actual building they serve 5 local communities with nothing to offer. While other YMCA's are undergoing million dollar restorations or completely building new beautiful buildings that supply those communities with endless activities and a local pool, we in the Norristown, Jeffersonville, Eagleville, Trooper and King of Prussia are stuck with a 1980s satellite office for daycare and other youth and work out rooms. And told to use a pool in a highschool 3 miles away with certain access hours. I'm not complaining about the YMCA or what they do offer. But it's very little for the satellite office in Audubon is very little to none. While Haverford has a new muti-million dollar Y, Pottstown has gone under renovations to make bigger, the one in spring valley is huge, Phoenixville, greater Philadelphia, Upper Main line, Lansdale all have their very own building, while we literally have a rented out office space. Totally calling the YMCA OUT! On this one. Not everyone can afford or have time to take a bus and/or drive to another YMCA with kids, just to get to a program because you don't have the space here at this 3 office wide office building. Putting up a YMCA in Audubon or Norristown would greatly help the local population, where there are no local pools, no local programs, no local area to gather, as at a YMCA in EVERY SINGLE SURROUNDING AREA HAS. BECAUSE THEY HAVE A YMCA BUILDING AND A POOL INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. IT IS BULL!! Plus youth baseball, basketball, soccor, indoor hockey, day camp, summer camp. Do we not deserve this while willing to pay you for this. You would have a higher membership if you had a actual YMCA building instead or requiring me and my locals to travel 32 minutes to Phoenixville YMCA as told by the office in the Aubudon Y to do. The membership I would pay double to have an actual Y in Norristown and went to join the Aubudon YMCA for everything the Pottstown Y offers n left deeply dissatisfied, disappointed, and didn't sign up!
Small YMCA. Equipment is usable but could use a little maintenance. The trainers are really nice and it's never really that crowded. Kind of hidden so it's hard to find
This YMCA offers 60 years and above Silver Slippers program and I love that program is designed especially for older adults
So convenient just off of Trooper Rd alongside of Walmart on the right hand side of Blvd of the Generals.Great for people who live in the area!
