Auraria West station is an RTD light rail station in Denver, Colorado, United States. Operating as part of the C, E and W Lines, the station opened on April 5, 2002, and is operated by the Regional Transportation District. It primarily serves the adjacent Auraria academic campus, home to Metropolitan State University of Denver, the Community College of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver.FasTracks and Station RelocationThe original Auraria West Campus station closed on July 23, 2011. The new relocated Auraria West station opened on October 31, 2011 near Fifth and Walnut on a north-south alignment near the Consolidated Main Line (CML) tracks. The relocated station is the diverging point for the FasTracks W Line to Lakewood and Golden.

Outright rude drivers you have….. after the Broncos game tried asking an employee a simple question of, how do I get home ? Wouldn’t even roll down his window train 239 about 6:00 I believe. grumpy old man couldn’t be helpful or proactive in his job just terrible people! And this station should still pick up the wondering drunks after the game if they are going to close the busses! Denver is no longer safe and this irresponsibility is making me rethink any major events like this

Decent little lightrail stop. I wish there was more shade though to get out of the rain, hot sun or wind.  Trains run pretty frequently. the machines at this stop seem pretty well serviced

Denver does not have enough civic pride. This Light Rail station is filthy. It's in constant need of a thorough cleaning. A man from Chicago told me that the city gorgeous, although it is dirty and stinks. I couldn't believe it. But I have not been to Chicago, so I personally cannot say. He was serious and I believed him. He wasn't being mean, only informative. Come on Big D. We can do better than this.

This station is the hub for light rail connections going North and West,  South and East. I have to remove the snow at this station every time it snows. It's  technically part of the campus. There is ample  parking and access to all major  roads.

RTD and mainly the W line in Golden are horrible at keeping an accurate schedule.  The drivers leave early and have made me late for work numerous times.  Don't try to call customer help.  They won't even look into it half the time.  I've called numerous times and the same driver is still doing the same thing!!!

Good location, although it could have been better if it was one street eastward. Biggest peeve is that the rail lines are not on time more often than not, and leave minutes early a lot of the time.

They need to really update their times, if they are running 4 minutes late, they need to actually say 4 minutes, not 2.   This and always shutting this station down is no wonder public transportation is ignored by ppl that just drive.

Rtd is the worst at scheduling and maintaining a schedule. Their drivers and security are rude and offer no help.

I have found no unnecessarily rude RTD light rail operators or RTD security personnel.

A convenient spot to swap from the West W line from Golden to a southbound line going towards Littleton C or the DTC area E. Very reliable and timely schedule, as well. It would be helpful & less time waiting for another train, to add a line that goes directly from Union Station to Nine Mile Station. Bcuz now, one would need to swap lines from the West W line to catch the C or E, just to have to swap lines again between 10th & Osage Station, Alameda Station or the I-25/Broadway Station, in order to catch the H line that goes out to Nine Mile. Otherwise the star rating would be at 5. Keep up the great work RTD-Denver!
