Interesting little library in the middle of a strip mall. One wall has books the other wall has internet connected computers that people could use. In the back was a small kids section and up front was the check out counter. In the middle were tables with very uncomfortable chairs. Very no frills. They were handing out free KN95 masks which was nice.
It's a library like any other; it's the staff that makes it special. Everybody knows your name; over time, they learn your reading habits and keep an eye out for great reads. Patient research assistance; they will bend over backward to make sure that you get what you need. Bravo, Iliff Square!
The staff was friendly and help me find some books. They have a nice selection of books. The place is clean and follow the new rules. The books are price right. I took two boxes to them of books in gentle shape. You may find that special items
This is a fantastic library -- wonderful staff, innovative and fun programming, and awesome books and media. Basically, there's something for everyone here... from children participating in storytime or crafts to adults using computers or putting together puzzles. One of the first things I do in a neighborhood is look for the public library. This one is special!
I DO work here, but this is about Matthew: he's always available for computer help, he assists everyone who's waiting for a fax, he's quick to respond and courteous over the phone. I've seen him devote half an hour to helping a patron find the obscure books she most needed. Just this morning, he helped a patron with a difficult computer task, walking her step by step through accessing her information and organizing it to print! If people are accusing him of being "strict," that's only because he enforces library standards of quiet and safety. Please think whatever you want about our library; I don't want to sway your opinion! But it's unfair that you see only negative reviews about Matthew, when he is an excellent and competent librarian who really cares about his patrons and works so hard to make this library a success. Thank you.
Terrible experience with my kids today!!! My kids were in the children's area shortly before a group of unsupervised about 5-7 children ranging from ages 1 to 15 came in and started bullying my kids. After intervening it was clear that they were not going to stop messing with anyone not in that group including ME. So we eventually left and on the way out the manager was all too eager to refer us to his manager to complain than do anything himself. He seemed to be afraid of the group of children and/or just intimidated by the situation as it seemed to be racially charged. So I'm taking him up on his suggestion. In the meantime be aware that there is truly no real authority figure at this location and kids need to be "street smart" for this library!
This is a wonderful little library with the most helpful staff I have encountered at any local library. They really make the arts and crafts fun for the kids that come in, and are really helpful in finding books you are looking for. Absolutely my favorite neighborhood library by far.
Such an adorable little library!! The lady working inside was very sweet nice computers and selection of books for how small the library is! Very clean restroom and nice area for children to play and learn too!
Clean place but ridiculously small. Maybe 2 thousand books and 150 movies total.
When was the last time you were in your local library?? This place is such a great place to spend an afternoon. Especially when you have the kids. Did I mention that it is free? Your taxes already pay for it. It's YOUR library. Go see what it has to offer you!
