This is a great spot for walking but also for biking. Some days there is a small Cafe on the premises that caters to cyclists. There's a spot to wash off bikes or fix a flat tire. The enclosed building is available to rent out & it's great, very clean. The path to walk is paved & it goes under a cool railroad bridge. There is a path for mountain biking which is very cool. Along the paved path there are some pieces of equipment for working out arms, etc. A few steep areas on the path no matter which way you go.
It was very nice, they had a little coffee shop right next to the trail entrance. Staff were really kind. The first hill is a killer and it's right at the beginning. Mountain biking paths were good just a little narrow at most of the points. Features were well made just kinda difficult so.i wouldn't recommend for your first time biking. I crashed on one of the features but it wasn't bad very grassy so it didn't hurt much. I messed up my bike but they have a fbike fixing station at the front which was really nice to fix my bike. I would recommend checking it out if you're into biking and not new
This is a well kept, peaceful park. There's walking trails and a little coffee Cafe up front near the parking area. This is an easy to find location, off of river Styx road. The delightful and charming Cafe inside serves an array of coffees, juices, and teas, with a few frozen treats kept in a chest cooler. To my knowledge they do not offer meals or sandwiches yet. But they're working on it. Restrooms: Spacious, clean public bathrooms are available on the premises. Picnic area: Nice tables are provided in the front of the park near the parking area.
Great park to hike or bike. Trails offer some challenging hills and can bike through the woods.
Beautiful park with many points of interest. Wonderful job converting a former golf course to a public park. A great Spring day made everything perfect. But, I have to admit, this park will put your 'endurance' to the test. If it wasn't for the paved paths, biking, for me, would have been too much. Definitely would love to come again, but ... for a hike! And, then to reward my successful efforts, a nice stop at Spokes to refresh and recharge.
Nice hike with a few small hills. Bathrooms were super nice and a cafe right at the tail head. Small trail maintenance was happening a few weeks ago, but we were able to walk around to continue on the path.
Thank you Montville Twp for acquiring this property and making it amazing! The walking path is perfect for low intensity cardio due to the amount of hills. Also, the mtb trails are some of the best in the Akron area.
What great hiking trails and MTB trails. MTB track was closed due to mud & wetness. Thoughtful of management to preserve trails. Looks to be challenging. Area for a bmx style track/course being built. Trail head has Spokes cafe and other side of I-71 connects to Blue Heron clubhouse and banquet building. Beautiful Ohio wildlife and scenery. Trails are not flat. Good undulation for a more moderately challenging walk, run or ride. Saved on my google map.
Beautiful trail with bridges, landscaping, and creeks. Very hilly and steep inclines at times. Walking trails are paved and well kept. In the winter wear proper footwear, snow on the inclines get slippery. Our dogs loved it.
This place is perfect for the families with little ones that enjoy a nice day outside on their bike. It's never been crowded in my experience and my kiddos under 8 years old live this track.
