Welcome to the Austin Piano School! We offer fun, affordable group lessons for beginning and intermediate level students, both children and adults.
The Austin Piano School is a home-based piano studio offering group piano classes. Piano classes at the Austin Piano School are small and are grouped according to age and ability. Each student has the use of their own high-quality electronic keyboard. Students learn solo music as well as ensemble music, where each student plays a different part in the same song. Classes are one hour long. Class time is spent reviewing music from the previous week, learning new music, exploring musical theory and playing games that reinforce the musical concepts being taught. Every effort is made to present the lessons in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The goal of the Austin Piano School is to provide fun, affordable piano lessons that develop students who are independent readers of piano music. Independent readers are those who know rhythms, notes and musical notation well enough to read and play music at grade level on their own.
