My first time at Paul Mitchell the School was back in May. My barber student son cut my hair for Mother’s Day. He had guidance from his instructor, Mr. G, at the proper stages of the haircut—it was my son’s first real haircut after practicing on mannequins for a month. Everyone was very kind, and I loved my experience from beginning to end. My son did a fantastic job, and I received many compliments on my haircut. If you want excellent service and savings for your haircut and barber cuts, this is the place! Remember, it’s a school, and the students can use your patience, encouragement, and realistic expectations. Everyone has said, “I’m new,” at some point. For barbers and hair stylists in training, they do a fantastic job!
I really needed a change in my box dyed routine. This is where I came. I received expert advice and customized care here. I’m so happy with my experience that I’m taking the time to write this review. This is a wonderful place to come and really improve your hair’s quality because they are so gentle and concerned about what is best for the protection of your hair. I also would like to say that the two students who worked on my hair were absolutely amazing, I think their names were Ella and Mary Bella. What I will say is the students in the school look so engaged and tell me that they love learning here. This is an excellent environment because when people are happy and love learning, they tend to put everything they have into what they do. High respect for all the students here.
If you have curly hair make sure you ask for Stevie, Abigail, and Adrianna! after getting an unfinished styled hairdo the girl left my hair wet and wouldn’t dry it. But these three girls treated me like a queen and worked on my hair to make it look fabulous. Thank you so much girls!
Just moved here from NY and didn't know where to got to get a much needed haircut. I noticed the school while shopping at Whole Foods. I've never been to a cosmetology school before to get a cut and was used to paying up to $200 for any type of salon service in NY. I am so glad I gave this school a try and was so impressed with the entire experience. I had 24" cut and went from long straight boring hair to a beautiful angled lob which I LOVE and cannot believe it was only 15 bucks. The instructor Lisa was there alongside the student Storie every step of the way and gave wonderful guidance and clear instructions which really boosted the students confidence. We were all so proud of the results. I will be back next week for highlights!!!! Such a great first time experience!!!!
My appointment was at 7pm. I asked for later cut, but the guy took 3.5 hours to cut my hair straight and it was 10:30pm. The the instructor said he can’t cut my layers as it’s late. And the guy who was responsible for my hair didn’t even have a dryer to dry my hair. He towel dried my hair. My experience was so bad that I literally cried as I love my hair and they didn’t treat me right. I already set my expectations from the start. I already asked them if they could do layers for me. They said yes at first and at the end, they didn’t even use hair dryer and towel dried my hair. It was a horrible experience with them. I do not recommend anyone to have any kind of haircut with them. Don’t risk your looks!!!
We went for super service day and we had Katrina #3715 and Abbigail #2708 in the skin department. We got facials, back treatments, and eye lash perms. The service was amazing and they were very professional. Their instructors Ms. Odie and Ms. Cici were on top of it, especially with a full room. They made the learning environment fun while also being very informative. I would definitely recommend the skin department and these ladies for services! My skin feels great and I can’t stop looking at my lashes. It was a great way to pamper ourselves before the school year began.
..Do not go to this location. If zero stars was an option that is what they would get. The woman at the front desk lies and the manager is one of the most disrespectful, rude, and messed up people I have met in a very long time. The woman, who according to the manager, "has been there for 2 years and trains people", could not have told me what she said to me this morning ..I called asked if I could get a trim today around 230. The woman who answered said yes we can gat you in at 230 with someone a guy whose name i do not remember but I think started with J I said "great , I will see you then" I arrived at 230 and was told by woman at the front that "we do not take appointments on Fridays" so it would probably be quite a wait. I said politely that it would have been nice to have been told that it was actually a walk-in before I went over there expecting an appointment. I was asked with whom did I speak. I said a woman said they would set me up with some guy to cut my hair, and immediately I was told no guy was at the desk this morning.. that is not what I said I said it was a girl I spoke with. The woman said I must have called yesterday...??? Um. No. . Then this rude manager stated yelling saying that it was not possible that I called this morning to be told I could have an appointment at 230 since that woman at the desk was the only one there and would never have done that. Well guess what "dearie" she did. And obviously will not admit to it a mistake is fine , but rudeness and lies to a customer is NOT. Insane. I told him to stop arguing with me and he went off and said they would not see me there.. no worries.. I would never step foot into that dump ever again. Obviously, the rumors I hear are true. Terrible people there. I'm sorry for anyone trying to learn there. Please do not learn to be a horrendous person as well. That ridiculous loser of a manager, needs to go work in a sewage tunnel or something, where no customer would have to see him. Or maybe admit himself to rehab,, that may help. Oh, and she refused to give me his name.. so he is a short, dark, curly -haired, highstrung male. The end
I have had highlights done twice here and I definitely recommend this place! It takes a little longer, but the salon is professional and they are generous with the products they use on your hair.
Very impressed with the service and ambiance. Came here for the signature facial which left my face feeling great and pores unclogged: Students learn their craft with the watchful guidance of their instructor nearby.
