As a mother of two children with autism, I have encountered many problems along the way. I am turning my problems into solutions, and I hope to do the same for you! Both of my children suffer from sensory disorders. They both take their clothes off constantly, because they don't like the way they feel. They do not understand that it is inappropriate, especially in public. It has been difficult for me to do the dishes or laundry or even go to the restroom, because of this problem. Traveling anywhere is a chore, because one or both of them removes their clothing as I'm driving.
Well, that's the problem as many of you may have, but where is the solution? I have looked online for years and found nothing that meets all my needs. I found some companies who offered something similar to what I wanted, but it wasn't quite right. The clothing would meet the function, but it would look like hospital clothing or pajamas. Some of them would be thick and only came in pants, which did not work well for summer.
I invented AdaptiveWear for my children, and my life has been changed! I can put the AdaptiveWear clothing on my kids, and they keep it on! My AdaptiveWear is stylish enough that they can wear it in public without embarrassment of looking like a patient. Unlike other companies, we don't just have pant suits.
