Friendly Folks serving Famous Barbeque

Description

Since 1988, we've been proud to serve our original recipes in a friendly, comfortable place. Multiple time winner of the "Best of Louisville" award for best barbeque, we pride ourselves on our attention to quality.

Our succulent Bar-B-Q starts with the best quality USDA meats that we delicately smoke over hickory wood for up to 12 hours. We then carefully "pull" only the leanest and most tender portions and top them with a dab of our "lip-smacking" secret recipe Bar-B-Q sauce.

Come on in, and let us show you why we say we are :

We wanted to Mark’s Feed Store for Mother’s Day lunch. We had fried Pickles, BBQ ribs and Burgoo. The ribs are excellent and the Burgoo reminds me of a cross between Beef stew and a chicken pot pie, very good! Staff is also very friendly. Highly recommend!
This was my first time here and they made an amazing first impression. 5 stars through and through. What a great experience I had Wednesday at lunch time. Was super busy but they did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we was greeted with smiles, Our server Valerie was the best I've had in such a long time. She was so friendly and seemed so happy to serve us and to be working there. Our drinks stayed full and our appetizer was delicious! Never make the hard decision again between fried pickles and onion straws cause you can have them both!! I had the ribs and pork sandwich with spicy fries and it didn't disappoint. The manager came out and talked to us and was very professional and nice Since it was my first time I got a free slice of pie and sauce! I thought that was the kindest gesture ever. Family friendly atmosphere and was very clean. Was so happy with my dinning experience here Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, handiparking for vans
I'm not sure why, but my husband and I were taken to the back dining area of the restaurant all by ourselves. I promise we were both clean, showered, and properly dressed, lol. The waitress was still hospitable, and we were kindly taken care of. Our meals were "just okay."Food: 2/5
If you have a huge appetite this place will fill you up. Portion sizes are generous and will fill you up. Went with my family and my mother and none of us could finish our meals. Everyone loved their meats- brisket seemed to be the favorite. I loved their onion straws and the fried pickles. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fairly quick but most importantly accurate.
Great small local chain BBQ joint with great ribs, pork and beer. The food was quick, delicious, and they offer lunch specials. Military friendly. They offer a limited draft selection, but their mac' and cheese is delicious. Trying to find an improvement, menu could be updated to have names of dishes on pictures and ensure servers know what dishes are what. I enjoyed that the waitress was honest when I asked her what she liked and recommended. Everyone's taste varies. So, I recommend you get the pulled pork without sauce and add the BBQ flavoring you like at the table. The Red BBQ sauce was spectacular! Parking: Adequate parking Kid-friendliness: Family friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Standard wheelchair ability
I’ve been here twice I always give places a second chance. The second time helped solidify this restaurant’s first impression. I tried the ribs, pork, brisket, and chicken. Nothing tasted of wood or charcoal smoke. The ribs and brisket just had a very weird burnt flavor. The pork and chicken tasted like it had been cooked in an oven with zero seasoning, not to mention it was all extremely dry. Service was decent, although, it took an unusually long time for the food to come out. “Barbecue” must have a different definition in this area.
Recommend. Friendly staff and plenty of selections. Tried out some wings with fries. Also had an Arnold Palmer to drink. Server came out quickly with drinks and helpful suggestions related to the menu. Really enjoyed the corn bread salad. Food came out to order and sauces as needed. Plenty of parking outside. Spacious, clean and well lit restaurant.
Fried pickles were very good. Pork was average, baked potato needed to be cooked a little more, baked apples still had the skin on so could have been better.
Overall experience was very good! The waiter was very patient while we ordered drinks Yes, this location does sell alcohol and then took our order and gave us updates on when we should expect our food. The brisket was tender and not dry at all, and the coleslaw was a classic. I’m still wondering what made the fries “spicy” but it was still a good experience and good.
I was pretty excited to try this place since moving to the area. When we arrived they weren't very busy and we were seated immediately. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, well decorated it was around Halloween and the staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered the cornbread appetizer and it tasted great but was very very dry. The entrees look like there isn't much food for the price, but it's just an illusion. We got the briskett platter and pulled pork platter, and the meat comes in these little paper bowls that make it look like there isn't much in there. If you dump it out, you'll see there is plenty. The mac and cheese was good but almost too cheesy, and the fries are delish. I love that they have the bbq sauce at the table so you don't have to ask, and they also have a whole roll of paper towels on the table which is awesome when dealing with messy foods and kids. The kids burger was a bit dry and underwhelming. All in all, this place was good and we'd come back again.
