Really did not like how it smelled and the nurses always seemed to busy

I was there after having a reconstructive foot surgery. Because I live alone they wanted to make sure that I was able to do things on my own when I got home. I was 56 years old and used to doing for myself anyway. However the care that I received there was some of the best I’ve ever received. I love the physical therapist and the occupational therapist ....both were outstanding I happen to be there during Halloween and they had the most wonderful employee/family Halloween party. All the employees children all showed up… Dressed up in their costumes and we, the patients, got to hand out candy to them. It was so much fun. It made me not so homesick for my own grandkids. I would recommend anybody and everybody to rehab at Avalon if they ever have the need to. Respectfully, Bonnie L. Ward

The people there have been so kind to my parents! The food is good, they are receiving physical therapy and my Father who has said "ill never go to a nursing home" wants to stay the 40 days. That statement there says it all to me.

I cannot say enough good things about the nursing care my brother received while a patient at Avalon. We are glad to have him home and don’t believe he would be had it not been for the excellent care he received. Thank you thank you thank you!

i Found this place to be a horrible experience for my husband. The staff is all mainly made up of traveling nurses and CNAs and I assume that’s because they can’t get help that wants to be there. It smells of urine when you walk in the front door and after seeing my husband basically lay in urine for hours at a time I guess it’s easy to see why it smells in there! The care is minimal and there is only a very few who actually care enough about their work to help these people who have to rely on them for everything. Baths are minimal maybe one every one to two weeks and that is only if the shower aide is there. On a positive note the Physical Therapy team is awesome!!! I can’t say enough good about them. They are caring and attentive and thorough. Only good part about Avalon!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everyone is helpful and kind.

We could not have asked for more caring and skilled staff for our dad during his last few months of his life. We were in and out each day for three months and were never concerned about his care. We will be forever grateful for their care of our dad. Thank you!

I recently visited and found the facility to be the cleanest I have ever been in. No urine or other smells. The facility staff were all kind and seemed really invested in the patients.

Amazing staff !! Very caring and compassionate people. I can't imagine having my mother anywhere but here. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a loved one in need of care. God bless these people!!

Such a great and friendly building. Everyone has been so helpful and caring to say the least, through these tough times of Covid. They were great and communicated well with me as I had a loved one there.
