Avamere at Oak Park

I’ve worked with this company for almost 2 years now. I have never been in a place where they have cared for the residents so much. I love the care and the support I see. Management leaders are supportive and care. I would recommend this community for any families who might need the service or anyone who needs a good job

While no place is perfect - they treat the residents and family with respect and care. It's open and is very comfortable. I have heard families say "it's the next best place to home."

I have been with Oak Park for five years. There has been plenty of opportunities for career growth and rewarding challenges. I enjoy the residents and team environment.

My grandparents have been residents at this place for 3 years, and not once has there been decent care for them. This place has been under horrible ownership, and the newest owner is the worst. Extremely unprofessional and won't return phone calls. They expect my family to do everyone when we're paying them a large amount for them to care for my grandparents. Laundry staff is horrible as well. They mix everything up and numerous amounts of clothes have gone missing, worth a lot of money. Staff is very rude and disrespectul. We were harassed by a guy running the medication cart today. He made my family feel very uncomfortable. This place needs to get it together. Do not put your loved ones here.

I worked with this company for almost two years and only felt like a number in a system. Never felt appreciated or acknowledged and never received things that were promised as an employee. Extremely rude residents, and staff that talks behind everyone’s back. It is a clean facility but that’s about all. They also take on residents that they do not have the equipment to care for, it is an assisted living community not a memory care facility. Not enough staff, too many residents. And also being expected to perform your job when you didn’t didn’t get more than a full days worth of training.

My mother has been at Avamere for a year and she is very happy there!! The staff has always been kind to her, and she says the food is very good!! The staff has been very receptive to any request I have made, and have notified me immediately with any issues that my mother has had!!

Compassionate support staff make a big difference in the well being of my parents staying here. Thank you!

Its been communication and working together and friendly with everyone and all the residents are wonderful . I just worked noc shift , but one day I might work days or swings lol

I have been Employed for with Avamere for over 2 years, and this has by far been the most challenging yet rewarding employer I've ever had. The honestly and integrity of the company impresses me.
