I skated on Klingbeils for years, but when I needed a new pair of Skates so much had changed and I was unsure which way to go. After a failed pair of boots I contacted Avanta. The fitting process was very thorough. Allie and Will were very helpful. My new boots feel so good on my feet. This is the closest I have had to my boots being an exact fit, even better than my Klingbeils. I will never go to another boot maker as long as Avanta exists. You may be able to get a "good fit" from a stock boot company, and I know there are a lot of popular models, but until you have had a custom fit you just don't know what you're missing. Literally I feel like there has been no "break-in" period with getting my foot acclimated. No rubbing, no blisters, no molding..... just skating! Thank you Avanta for solid work!
Really comfortable boots. Very little break-in time. They are able to stretch a whole size up, and adjust padding and arch support to accommodate growing feet and skill level. Will is always so helpful and knowledgeable about the sport. They also do custom Rockerz!
Great skate shop! I got my blades mounted to boots here, and Charles actually met me at Oakland Ice center and tried on my skates to make sure the alignment was right before installing a permanent mount.
Allie and Will are the best! I had a very good experience and my boots are amazing. I got customs and u couldn't be happier! The skate is fitted to my foot and the insoles mold to your foot! I have a long history of breaking down my skates in record time and so far Avanta has been holding strong. I recommend this company to everyone I know!
Ahhhhh, The Avanta Boot Company…When I first learned about Avanta Boots and heard of its reputation, I decided to go check it out myself here in Hayward, California. I was totally intrigued by their experienced cobbler and their great shop with their high tech equipment. YES, I can attest to the fact that they’re the experts in this field of precise boot-making industry…and THEY DO EVERYTHING IN THERE - from forming a molding of your feet measurements to the finished product - it was an amazing process. They use the highest quality leather and stitching process to make sure it holds any pressure exerted by the skaters. Overall, they build this light weight, one-of-a-kind boot. As soon as I had my first Avanta boots, it was an amazing feeling, I didn’t have to break it in…it fits like a perfect glove on my first try, perfect, easy smooth skating. I decided to have my second pair of boots built because I was totally satisfied with their workmanship of their product. I highly recommend it to every skater out there, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skater, you won’t regret it.
Really great experience getting my Klingbeils repaired/tongues replaced. Will was very responsive and was able to do the work very quickly. I did it all through the mail since I don't live near their place of business. I was a little worried sending my precious custom skates across the country, but everything was done perfectly. My skates feel and look better, I am going to get years more life out of them, and they even included new laces to boot haha! Thank you, Will and everyone at Avanta. Keep up the good work!
AVANTA is the one and only custom boots company that is able to accommodate my injured and partly paralyzed foot where I have high arch and a foot drop. The precision fitting is unparalleled with anything else on the market, and I tried just about everything. Now my skating reminds me walking on the beach and having my feet comfortably sink into the sand, where nothing bothers or needs adjustment. My boots were made by these who skate and with pure determination to help me get back on the ice after my injury. The boot quality is of light weight comparable to light weight Edea, yet, made of all leather with strong support, sweat wicking technology, self-centering tong technique, and precision blade fitted design on the outer soles. The leather upper edges are nicely skived with edges then folded and stitched, leaving no raw and unfinished leather edges. Now I really truly love to skate and would strongly recommend AVANTA Boot Labs to other skaters. You should try their friendly shop in Hayward, California where you can actually come and watch your boots being made. If you are not local, definitely make sure to be fitted by AVANTA Boot Labs, they perform remote boot fitting out of the area, or try their truly qualified and trained dealers to make sure the custom boot fit during measurement intake adheres to AVANTA Boot Labs precision fit method and all their measurement protocols are closely followed by the person who is taking your measurements.
They are Great, very knowledgeable and friendly. They take there time boot sizing.
Will is the best. He is attentive, professional, and responsive to my needs.
