Nice hot spring, good water and reasonably priced. I was there on the weekend and it was packed, both Friday and Saturday. A bit too crowded for me. People were noisy, and it wasn’t the best chilling place as one would expect. It was nice to jump in the pool which is 75 degrees when you get too hot in the hot pool. You can camp here with tent or RV, it was $55 but included pool pass for both check in and check out days, so pretty good deal. The showers are only outside next to the pool.
Wonderful hot springs, clean dressing room, lifeguard on duty, inexpensive, free water on site to drink - reminders by staff to drink. Lovely pool! I wish the hot pool was a lil deeper than 1.5 feet.
Paid 15 bucks for a small and crowded hot spring pool at 104 degrees F with minerals, and a closed waterslide after 5 pm. Big pool at 85 degrees, it alright.
Spent an enjoyable afternoon here on a recent trip to the central coast. This destination is moderately priced. The facilities are clean and nostalgic. The mineral water pool is small and has.limited capacity but it sure was relaxing to soak and chat the afternoon away. There is a much larger swimming pool where you can cool down, swim laps or just take a dip. This seems to be a local destination and we met some very friendly people who live in the are.a Got a great referral for dinner that will be for a different review! Definitely will be back our next trip to the Calofornia Central Coast.
The pool itself looked nice enough, clean, uncrowded. But the mineral pool wasn't that large, only a foot & a half deep, and as mineral spring pools are sulphorous, a bit stinky. And fairly crowded. They seem to have a busy cleaning staff, doing a good job. We didn't go in either pool. We were there to rent bikes for the Bob Jones trail, and that was very worthwhile. They didn't have the advertised tandems, nor electric bikes, nor the bicycles for 4 that their price menu suggested. Just regular bikes. But they were fine, & we were very glad to have been able to use them. It looked like the way back from the end of the trail would be almost all uphill, but it must have been an optical illusion, because it was possibly easier even than the way there.
The soaking tub and pool were enjoyable but it was certainly disappointing that the waterslides weren’t open, especially since the surrounding area water parks are open. I’m not sure if this was covid related or staffing. My 6 year old was told by a lifeguard that she couldn’t swim outside of the shallow end and when I asked why, he said it was because she couldn’t swim. We don’t know this man or have ever had an interaction with him and he certainly did not know that my child is a strong independent swimmer, so I was surprised he’d make that rule for her. After questioning it and letting him know, and then showing him she could swim, his behavior in hawk eyes was so off-putting, my daughter had little interest in staying in the pool. If you’re thinking of going with young children, their only current option is to swim and that’s if lessons aren’t going. I can see that in non-Covid years or with additional staff, this could be more enjoyable and though it’s affordable and in a great location, it was lackluster and our experience was unfortunate.
There is one hot spring pool about 1.5 feet deep, and one big swimming pool from about 3 feet to 8 feet deep. There is a lifeguard on duty. At around 3pm they do a "pool break" so that everyone gets out of the pool and the lifeguards clean up the big swimming pool from debris. The front desk employee was kind and helpful.
Wonderful experience and great warm people that run this place. I would recommend to families and anyone wanting some time away. The hot springs leave you with a silky glow!
Local spot! Shallow pool with great conversion but everyone is respectful. If you want a private pool, this isn’t your place. If you don’t mind soaking and being around good people, this is your spot!
Very relaxing place to soothe sore muscles or just to simply relax. The customer service was excellent and they didn't make us feel stupid for asking dumb questions. The pool was heated to 84 degrees and I believe the hot spring was 104 degrees. I read other reviews that said the sulfur smell was very strong, but I didn't think it was bad at all. Another review talked about womens showers, but they have 2 single unisex shower stalls. My skin feels so soft and smooth too. We're already planning a family trip to come back. Oh also, bring a towel, otherwise you can buy one for $5.
