One of our favorite campgrounds, very clean and well managed. The pool and jacuzzi, with adjacent playground and outdoor games, are well tended. The staff was extremely friendly to take our reservation and check-in. The store offers a good selection of basic necessities and gifts. We also enjoyed the game room for some fun in the evening. Movie nights and pancake breakfasts are great for families! Walkability: Close to a wonderful walking/biking path. Great for dogs!
Amazing service! Fresh warm cookies upon arrival! We loved the incredible selection gift shop, a whole game room with all day access for free, 24hr laundry room, easy to pull through RV spaces, freshly painted and clean bathrooms plus showers, beautifully maintained pool and jacuzzi area with lounge chairs and tables, lovely little playground and a bit extra $ to play miniature golf as a fam! Plus, bikes can be rented, and I hope we can spend more than one night here on our next visit! It was a wonderful time and totally worth it Thankful for the prime, luxury accommodations KOA! Continually a treat
This is a very cool KOA. It’s a smaller park so a bit snug but quite, close to Bob Jones trail which you can bike or walk, and Avila beach. The pool was still under repair from the storm damage but it looked like a beautiful amenity. We just paid for a day pass & went to the hot springs & pool next door. Movie nights, breakfast, and office/store is nice.
We are camping in our trailer. The camp grounds are very nice and clean! The new staff are very nice and accommodating. I appreciate their enforcing the camp ground rules. The only thing is that the ladies restroom is not in the best shape! It’s outdated, the doors don’t lock, and the toilets don’t flush properly. Walkability: The Bob Jones trail is conveniently located for walking and biking.
Enjoyed our last stay, but they’ve stepped up their game since then! Very clean and quiet. Free popcorn during the outdoor movie was enjoyed we took it to the game room, and pancake breakfast on the weekends was reasonably priced and prepared well. Easy walk to Avila Beach if you’re inclined, and easy drive into SLO and/or Pismo.Service: 5/5
Love the area, camping there and waking up with the birds singing was beautiful. Unfortunately the pool was close is open now but we enjoy the warm and sunny weather. The people are very friendly and Lisa was very helpful and gave us good information about the places we should visit during our stay. The kids can also enjoy movies under the stars on Friday and Saturday with free popcorn.
We have stayed at many parks, resorts, campgrounds, KOAs during our travels in our RV travel trailer. This is by far the nicest staff we’ve ever experienced and one of the cleanest KOAs. Yes, some of the spots are tight, but nothing compared to some beach area CA state park campgrounds. Book a pull-thru site if you want more room. Our trailer is 33 feet and we had plenty of space to pull in and out of space 18 and 40. Space 40 is right by the bathrooms, so planting more of a hedge there would be nice to block people walking by, BUT we were so grateful that they were able to accommodate us last minute for two nights Friday and Saturday! as our travel plans changed due to a heat wave. Our kids LOVED the game room and two nights of movies under the stars with yummy popcorn. The pool area is super nice and clean. Seen too many KOAs with murky pool water. The playground is really cute and fun for kids. The freeway noise is not bad at all. We really enjoyed our too short of time there and will definitely be back!
There's no question, and they'll tell you this when you're making your reservation, that the spaces are tight at this KOA. Be prepared to take your time backing in. There's just no way around how tight these spaces are. The upside though, is everybody knows this and works together. The staff is exceptional as it is with all the other properties that this owner has, the facilities are clean, and the hookups are solid. You can't beat the location, because at first we thought it was too far away from Pismo and other attractions. But it turns out that it's the perfect location for both San Luis Obispo, and Pismo Beach. Even though it was close to highway 101, the noise was very minimal. The pool is excellent, and the laundry facilities are clean and new.
Beautiful spot, pool area is wonderful Definitely one of the loudest we have stayed at & made it harder to get some rest we love to have a great time too but people partying hard after 1am was a bit much & our kids didn’t get much sleep Service: 4/5
Great spot near SLO, Avila Beach and the Shell /Pismo Beach area. Also next to the Bob Jones Trail that goes some 4 miles to Avila Beach. The spots were level travel with good hookups. They suffered flood damage during the winter but have everything running again. It is close to 101 but I didn't notice any noise inside the RV. The sites are packed close - fortunately I was there during the week and it was mostly empty but was completely full when I arrived on a Saturday. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you don't mind it being a bit tight. Nearby activities: Very close to all the Central California spots like Pismo Beach, Morrow Bay, Hearst Castle, Elephant Seal Rookery
