This is located on 3rd floor.... Which is no where mentioned when you reach to the location. No sign or board of Avis being present there on 3rd floor....it was just one board near elevator which mentioned all car rental service on different floors. Everything was smooth except that car seat was not placed and installed in car while I had added that during my booking itself.
Even with President's Club .. I can't get thru to anyone, been disconnected 4 times. MY CORPORATE LAP TOP was left in the rental. And there is no way to talk to anyone. If you rent every week @ Avis you still get little to no help. Last week 45 minute wait to get a car @ Fresno Airport - this weekend I get to drive back to Burbank just to talk to someone ... : 4 days in a row now - waiting for someone what does president club even mean ??
Avis has been my go to car rental company 5 out of 7 times in the past 8 years. Always great and fast service, even for a late pick-up as mine at the moment. The calm sir at the Burbank counter was very diligent, even served two people at the same time with no mix-ups. Return was fast as always. Side note at Burbank Airport: The car rental area is far from the terminals so be prepared to walk a lot in order to get to/from one area to the other.
I'm extremely dissatisfied with my Avis reservations at Burbank airport. Despite using an upgrade coupon from an Avis email, my experience was disappointing. Upon arriving at Burbank airport, I was assigned an SUV in the message, but upon reaching the spot, there was no car available. I had to return to the Avis office, where the staff member was unapologetic and claimed the car was in place. Only when I insisted that the car wasn't there did he reluctantly give me a full-size car, despite my rental being for 9-10 days with an upgrade that was never fulfilled. Although I requested the promised SUV, he checked availability without informing us, handed over the paperwork, and instructed us to collect the SUV. The assigned Toyota 4 runner was visibly old, covered in scratches, and located up a flight of stairs. At that point, I chose not to return to the counter due to the unfriendly attitude of the staff member, assuming he wouldn't be helpful. Reluctantly, we decided to accept the old car and made sure the person noted all the scratches at the Exit. Despite my family's excitement for the trip, our drive in the provided car has been awful throughout the trip. The vehicle makes unsettling sounds and shakes throughout the journey. This experience has been incredibly distressing and disappointing. This experience has left a scar and will have to make sure to think twice before picking the future rental.
staff is friendly and the check in is very easy. 6 minutes walking to the car rental counter with all the way with cover. the car condition is good
Avis at Burbank was extremely quick and easy. Our car and the car seat that was provided were both very clean. Pickup and drop off were both quick. We were very pleased with the experience!
This review is 1 star due to the car condition and the price. But first, let me give you some context. My fiance and I flew into Burbank with a reservation with Thrifty and upon arrival learned that us along with many others were SOL with no cars available. So we went desk to desk in desperate hopes for a car to be available. The AVIS reps were very nice and informed us they had a luxury car Tesla and a sports car Camaro available for $275.00 a day. We agreed as we needed a car to get to our daughters race beginning shortly about 15 miles away. After the paperwork was handled we then went upstairs to check on the car. We arrived to a car which had not been cleaned inside or out. Spiders had begun to make homes on it so we had to kill a few before we could make our way to the interior. Once we opened the doors, to our surprise the interior was filthy, stained and no way was ever sanitized for the next guests. With limited time and options we had to accept the car to make it to our appointment. Once we began driving we realized that even the inside of the windshield was covered in dirt/marks. After our appointment we had the car cleaned so we could safely see out of the windshield. All in all, we were happy we made it to our daughters race. But for $300.00 to be given a base model v6 Camaro on Turo they rent for 60-80.00 a day is ridiculous. This is as far as Ill go with Avis, as we now know their idea of a luxury experience is not at all what we consider luxury. A lesson learned and a customer lost.
Good experience with this Avis location a couple weeks ago. The only issue I had was the signage for the membership line was a bit unclear. Started waiting in the lobby but figured out the preferred line is up the escalator in their parking area. Once there, quick and easy process at the counter. Was given a Nissan kicks and it was great for our needs. No issues with the pick-up, during our rental period, or drop off. Drop off was quick and painless.
Checked in early on a Sunday morning and there was only one person working. Luckily the line was short and he was efficient and friendly. Rented a Tesla which was great but Avis has to do more employee training on how to answer the question, where do I recharge near the airport and how much charge is required? No one was sure and I was told, "just back to whatever charge it has when you get it...I believe." Then at drop off the person said, "I don't know so whatever is fine." Pretty confusing but otherwise nice car and good service.
I reserved a car to fit 7. At pick up, the car I reserved was not available and the employee acknowledged our need for a car that fits 7 and then gave us a car that fits 5. After standing in line a second time, we got the car we had reserved. The car, a brand new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, had the check engine light come on soon after pickup and then proceeded to turn off in the middle of driving 6 times, nearly causing accidents and much anxiety on the road. This is apparently a known issue in this car, so it's baffling that we were given a brand new car that is known to dangerously shut off whenever. We returned and stood in line again, to get another car of the same type as nothing else was available, which was not very comforting. In all, we spent several hours getting a functional car that fit everyone. It was the worst possible way to start a vacation. I was not compensated by Avis for how they put my life and vacation at risk.
