Safety is clearly not a priority to this company!!!  I was trying to exchange a Chevy Malibu that I previously rented from Avis/budget because the oil change indicator was illuminated on the dash and I didn't feel comfortable with driving it like that. As I went into exchange the car, I encountered the young lady named "Samaya".  Samaya exchanged my Chevy Malibu for a Toyota 4runner. The Toyota 4runner that I received oil change indicator was also alerted on the dash board. The car has about roughly 41,000 miles on it and the tire tread was low. I asked someone I saw parking cars in the parking lot of Avis for guidance. He told me his name was Derek and he was willing to help me by telling me I should go back to the Avis/Budget kiosk and let them know the situation. Upon arrival at the Avis/Budget kiosk the young lady Samaya was talking on her cell phone and walking around the desk. When she ended her phone call, she just stood there looking at me in silence. I stated to her that I needed to change my car because the car oil change indicator light was on in the Toyota 4runner. She then stated to me that I needed to come back in the morning if I wanted to exchange my car out. I informed her that that wouldn't work for me because I travel for work and needed something tonight. Samaya then stated "Well I am not changing out the car tonight so come back tomorrow and walked into the office slamming the door behind her. This lady gave me absolutely no reason as to why she didn't want to exchange my car. The reason I traded the other car in was to not have a rental car that needs an oil change. It is a safety issue and a liability issue on my end if the car is damaged because it needs service. I have no way of knowing how long the vehicle needed service and should not have been issued the vehicle initially. The kiosk closes at 10 p.m. and I arrived there before 7 p.m.  I am a repeat customer of Avis/Budget and I travel out of the area for my job daily.  I have never encountered someone with such lack of customer service.  If I could give this place ZERO stars I most certainly would.

The only reason I gave it one star is because the kid at the front desk in Newport mall Jersey city was able to give me a refund for the day the car broke down. They rented is an allegedly new car equinox. We drove to Fayetteville NC and parked the car. Came out to pick up the children and the car wouldn't start. It wouldn't even allow us access to the inside. It took us all day to get another vehicle.  The people at avis were complete a**holes and pushed everything to OnStar. OnStar did the best they could to accommodate us. We had to pay 37 dollars to get to the airport to pick up a new vehicle. No one knew what was wrong. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else. These pictures were of the new smaller car we had to get. Eventhough we paid for a bigger to accommodate our son who is over 6ft tall. The cars aren't clean, but you have to return them clean or they will charge. They attempted to charge for the gas on the broken down equinox,  but I guess god stepped in and they didn't. I wrote to the bbb and found they are not even accredited. They have yet to respond to my claim.

We knew our flight might be delayed due to weather so we tried to call to let them know and ensure we could get ou vehicle. Unfortunately, they DO NOT answer the phone locally and laughed about it like an inside joke when we mentioned it later at the front desk stating, "Oh, that goes straight to corporate, the phone never rings here."  Because our flight was delayed we arrived at 11:20 PM and they closed 10:00 PM.  Important to note, the other rental companies were still open and assisting their customers.  So, we were unable to get our vehicle, which resulted in us booking a hotel locally and needing an LYFT since we were now stranded at the airport.  Additionally, we still had to pay for our reserved hotel that night on the coast, which was our final destination.  The next morning we took a LYFT to the airport and the employee admitted she didn't check our flight info and the more senior employee stated she should have and was supposed to wait for our arrival or make arrangements for us to receive the keys.  She did neither, resulting in hundreds of additional dollars wasted and us missing a family gathering. Important to note, there was a third new employee who was sincerely apologetic and sympathetic, but the two senior employees one claimed to previously work for "corporate" several times were indifferent and will likely ensure the new employee takes the same attitude.  Finally, the car was not clean and the windshield was so dirty on the inside that we had to stop to clean it since we could see clearly.  Recommendation: rent with Hertz or Enterprise, if flying out of Fayetteville.

My rental car would not start and no one contacted me to come out and fix it until the next day so I had to pay myself to get it started to go exchange the car. Then when I turned it in they tried to charge me a170 for gas which I got a refund for because that was inaccurate. Please look at your charges after you turn in your car.

I have had a very gratifying experience with AVIS Fayetteville Regional Airport location. A clean Toyota Corolla was waiting for me upon arrival. My flight was delayed but the staff made arrangements for me to pick up my vehicle after hours. I have had to extend my rental on 2 separate occasions and the staff have been courteous and helpful each time. The Manager at this location is doing an awesome job. On my last visit he was performing training for a new employee and he was very patient while assisting me and ensuring that she was understanding the instruction while providing the utmost courtesy to the customer. This manager should be given a promotion and be sent to RDU to train that staff.

I exclusively rent with Avis. Always a great experience. Except this time. I reserved a compact car. Arrived at the airport to pick up my reservation, and was told they were out of cars. IT WAS A RESERVATION! They gave me this instead. A 16 passenger van! The customer service rep, told me to call back in 5 days for an exchange. I did, and was told they still didn't have a car for me. AVOID!

It's great when you are able to pick up a rental car with no hassle, and your drop off location is so convenient that it's returned in less than 15 min. That was a good experience from Fayetteville, NC Airport to Charlotte NC CLT Airport. I would use Avis again for business.

I rented online prepaid. There was a mix up my SUV was not there. The gentleman working offered some good suggestions and they worked it out. Still my goto spot for rentals here in Fayetteville my goto spot for rentals

The representative at the desk was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. She recognized my credit card and did not try to sell me unneeded insurance and the other stuff.

Hands down worst Avis/Budget location I've ever been to. Stood in line for 35 minutes just to return my vehicle and get a printed receipt on Saturday April 2nd 2022, only to be told that the printer was out of paper and the desk agent didn't know how to reload it. Furthermore, was erroneously charged a fuel service charge even though I returned the vehicle full and was told by the same desk agent there wasn't anything he could do about it. There is no one in the lot at this location taking down mileage and fuel level upon return like at larger locations, so either take a customer's word that they did what they agreed to do and fill up the car or get an employee to verify in the lot. Will gladly pay more to use a competitor if my travels ever take me back to Fayetteville.
