If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Tony who runs the Poway Avis was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I rented a Tesla for the week. I wanted to see how the car worked in my everyday life before buying one. Tony was helpful and called him a few times to extend my rental. He made it so easy! This is where I will go if myself or a family member needs a rental!
Rental experiences usually involve some kind of disappointment. Not so with this Avis rental! I got reliability and support. The site showed me all rental options for the location I wanted to rent from, I found several cars which fit my needs and budget, and the one I selected was the one I got. It was in great condition, and I was out the door extremely fast. The agent Tony was friendly, professional and efficient. Since it was my first time driving a Tesla, he showed me the basics and even helped when I had a question on the road. This kind of support is almost nonexistent in the last 5 years, so major points from the personnel/support aspect. Highly recommend this car rental place!
All of my experiences with renting a car from this place have been wonderful. Tony, the staff member working there for the last 2 times that I have rented from this location provided exceptional customer service. He was super friendly and very professional. This seems like a one-man show and Tony does it all with a smile. I will continue to rent from this location the next time I come back to the area.
The staff at the Poway rental counter are fantastic! Tony was super helpful and very patient. He was prompt and efficient and had the car I reserved available and ready to go. My experience was stellar!

Tony has provided excellent customer service every time we have used him. Even today, when there were a lot of unexpected renters due to the Southwest Christmas meltdown, Tony told all of us the situation up front and said he would do his very best to get everyone taken care of. He set expectations early and was very patient with everyone. We got our car and went on our way. Thanks Tony for the amazing job you did today, handling a very difficult and hectic situation!
Completely waste of my time. Avoid this location! It closes randomly during the opening hours for more than 30 minutes without any notice. There were no staff at this location both when I arrived at the scheduled pickup time and return time. Have to wait and waste more than 30 minutes.
Our family had an exceptional experience renting from this location on Poway Rd. It was a busy holiday week and Tony made the experience seamless from pick up to drop off. He was very accommodating, personable, professional, and friendly. He was also diligent and efficient. He made our rental car experience amazing! He took great care of us. If you need a rental car stop by this location and ask for Tony. He is great!
Tony is the manager here and he is always trying to accommodate the customer needs. He has helped me with many aspects during my course of multiple rentals with Avis. This is something, esp in the post-covid world considering the state of the rental car market. And it's always a pleasure to rent from this location.
Booked online, arrived at the store front and they already had the car upfront facing out ready to roll. I dealt with Jake, he is a credit to Enterprise & a stellar customer service representative. 5 min, even with a glitch in my credit union credit card, I was on my way. He had respect and patience as I did some mobile banking and kindly waited aside. All in all a great experience in Poway
