Excellent help and service. They were understaffed but the guy there was doing the best he could. He tried to find solutions instead of finding reasons why things couldn’t be done. They were able to find and get me the car I needed, even though they didn’t have any on the lot. Overall a great team.
Used this location a few years ago and had problems with them, but my experience with customer service at Poway Hertz this past week more than made up for that. The agents who helped me couldn't have been more gracious, efficient and considerate. In the future, I will definitely use this office whenever I need to rent a car locally. A special thanks to Donna for all her help.
Nice car, good price, good service. Car definitely could have been a bit cleaner on the inside. Otherwise the experience was good. Even gave me a ride to the dealership where my car was being repaired.
Unbelievably, infuriatingly bad and just plain... wrong! I cannot believe how unapologetically they flat-out screwed me on a pre-paid reservation!! I almost had to walk home in the rain. The woman behind the counter was virtually incapable of doing ANYTHING on her own, only what the almighty computer says she can do. She couldn't accommodate me, because the robot told her that they're not allowed to accept CASH as a deposit - a deposit that they should NOT have tried to charge me for because I pre-paid with a major credit card! And even though I had reserved the car for 1 full week, they could not move the reservation to the next day. Mr Roboto says no! So, I have prepaid for a car I didn't get, which I reserved so I could take my 7 year old son to see his grandpa and the rest of our family in Utah without worrying about mechanical troubles with my 190k mile car. And ALL of his presents from Santa have been sent THERE. Because hell, I PRE-PAID for the rental car, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG??? But not to worry! In 10-14 business days, that $130 will be refunded to my credit card. Yeah... Merry F-ing Xmas you Ho-Ho-Ho's!

1-12 24 months. Nothing!!!! Horrible horrible, horrible place. Did you get the fact that it is .....THE worst. Here is my story. I arrive at Hertz with a loan car authorization slip from Perry Ford. It is written on Perry's letterhead and has their PO and RO numbers. Their internal billing system.They gave me a rental vehicle and asked for a credit card for incidentals like gas. RENTER BEWARE at this point!!!! It doesn't quite work that way. Hertz didn't get paid fast enough from Ford and charged $1,196.80 on my debit card and $2099 on my credit card. Plus they have since received payment from Ford. They refuse to refund my money. When I tried to discuss it with them, the manager and the other representative talked to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about in a very condescending manner. They basically stated the paper from Ford was worthless. Even though they did receive payment from Ford because of that form. They continued to state I was responsible. This has never happened before. I had my car in for 3 weeks in May, no issues. Are they double dipping? All I know is over $3,000 is out of my account and I need to pay my bills. They look right at you and lie when they take your card and say it won't be charged. What's up with that? Hertz do the right thing!!!!!!!
This place is a joke. One thing I know it's the first and the last time I use Hertz. I've never had any issues with any other rental company. I wish my insurance would pick different company for my claim. I came here a day before with a reservation and they said the manager they dont have car I want compact... and they will bring it by end of the day from different location so it will be ready for next day. Now I came and they told me they dont have it yet and I need to wait 1-1.5 hours... . It looks like it's a common situation since the guy after me called them also day before to make sure they will have a car for him today. Nope, he needs to wait an hour too. Just close this place if you dont care about your customers.
Really rude representatives. Not helpful. I went next door to Enterprise....had a rental in 5 minutes. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience. Hertz definitely needs to address issue....employees should have more customer service skills and just plain knowledge about Hertz so they are able to answer questions. Would never recommend this company.
I came in here 15 minutes ago and some guy in a Hertz shirt kept walking around and didn't even greet me. I asked him if there was a better time for me to come in he said "I'm sorry I'm on my lunch I'm sure someone will help you soon". I'm still sitting in an empty office 10 minutes later. Worst place to rent from. I'd give them no stars if that was an option.
Very good service. This location is excellent and the staff is super polite and easy to work with. One year later, this location is still excellent and service is beyond expectations. Shout out to Donna and the staff.
