This lot is terrible when it rains it's a swamp, no shelter, a piece of wall standing at the beginning of the entrance, lot is unattended, very dangerous, dark areas terrible lighting. Beware
It's a contract parking lot so I don't have a whole lot to say about it other than the parking surface on the way in leaves much to be desired and the spots feel about 10% too small. Also the shuttle schedule is a mild disappointment. Update: still not great.
The shuttle was just awful. The wait took way to long. Called the front desk and had told me 15 mins. waited over twice as long. If you can plan ahead and avoid this place. I should have read the other reviews. Please if you can park some where else avoid this place like the plague.
I have parked here several years with out any issues. My last experience was regretfully my final. I have seen this place deteriorate over the past year. I parked here in December. When we returned from our trip we called to give them our claim check number. We had to call 7 times before anyone answered the phone. They instructed us to go to the shuttle area for pick up. As my husband and I walked over, we seen the shuttle and walked up to it. There was a gentleman in the stairwell speaking to the driver. We were waiting until he finished which was about a minute or so when the driver closed the door in our face and drove off. Typically there is a short wait in between shuttles, so we decided to wait. 15 minutes past and no shuttle, so I decided to call again to find out when the next shuttle would be arriving. No one was answering the phone, and it said that the mailbox was full so you couldn't leave a message. I tried over 20 times with the same response: no answer. In the end we waited over an hour in the cold, and we were not the only ones. Over 30 people were also waiting for the same shuttle and had the same issue. When we arrived at the facility, we were instructed to wait outside until our vehicle was pulled up. We waited another 15 minutes in the cold. We were so eager too leave, when they pulled it up we jumped in the vehicle. When I got home I noticed on my front bumper there was a dent. I called the facility and as instructed came in to fill out a report. Unfortunately there insurance company is saying that because I left the premises without notifying anyone of the damage then, that they will not do anything. I will NEVER park here again, and I strongly advise you that if you do, inspect your car completely before leaving.
Came in at midnight Sunday/Monday night. Shuttle was ready to go when we got to the Bus/Shuttle station. My car was waiting for me when we got to the parking lot. I forgot to make a reservation but everything worked out fine. Used Groupon so it was very reasonable! I was very pleased with the service.
I have never had any problems with this parking service. I use it all the time for business and pleasure travel. Sure there are some additional inconveniences involved with taking a shuttle to the terminal, but it's totally worth it to save $20/day over on-site parking. Also if you have their loyalty card you rack up free parking quickly. I have no complaints.
The Old School Bus's used for transport to the Airport should be retired.
I had very bad experience with their service. I already prepaid and got my confirmation. On the day of travel, i went to park my car. they were closed. i called the phone number and they were very rude and gave answer that they were fully over booked and closed the parking lot. they have no curtesy to call or send a email to the customers. Because of them i missed my plane and also they never refund my money. I am still trying to call them to refund. no one picks up the phone. I will never recommend anyone their service. VERY POOR.
This is worst parking lot and very slow service. Even they increased your bill without giving you notice. I parked my car on 12/30 and picked up 1/5 and when I picked up my car they asked me to pay extra $16 which was more what they told me at the time of reservation. When I picked up my car, it was so dirty from inside and outside and one window side was broken too, they did not even courtesy to fix it. They just completely ignored it. All bad service and you won't get your car in same condition which you left, worst condition of car. Be careful , do not use this parking lot. There is no security of your cars and it is open parking lot and this much small that you can not park your own car. I would never use this lot ever again.
If I could give this place 0 starts I would and that is really sad because this place USE to be great, it has gone to HELL. Now all they care about is getting as many cars on the lot as possible. They are WAY under staffed and don't even have enough room for all of the cars. I have had two horrible experiences two weeks in a row picked up 3/25/16 and last Thursday picked up 3/31/16 is the last time I will ever go there, which is a shame because I had been going here for years and it use to be under good management. The past year or so it has been getting worse and worse, this past Thursday it was be when I returned from my trip I called their number once I got my luggage and I had to call them TEN times before anyone answered my call. Over 30 minutes after I first started calling AviStar a bus finally shows up. He calls back to the office to give our ticket numbers so they can get the cars ready, well no one ever answers him and he tried 3 times. We pull up at the lot and there are SOOO many cars parked everywhere that the bus can't even pull into the lot. It lets us out at the entrance and we have to drag our luggage all the way to the back building. I finally get there dragging my luggage thru the rain and the potholes. I feel sorry for the people who dropped off their cars earlier because at least 5 cars had open windows. So, when I finally get to the office as I expected my car wasn’t ready and waiting for me like it is supposed to be since I prepaid. Until recently the car was always there and waiting, but now they are so understaffed that there are not enough people there to go and get the cars. So I walk into the office and the young lady takes my ticket and then asks me how I want to pay. I prepaid and I turned in the receipt when I dropped off my car. So, not only is my car not ready, but my ticket with my key wasn’t even pulled from the HUGE pile of keys. During my walk from the street all the way to the back I happened to see my car and it wasn’t blocked in and there was no way that I was going to wait for them to find one of the guys that was supposed to be getting cars, there seemed to be only 2 people out getting cars. The girl at the desk even admitted that they were WAY under staffed. You are also taking a risk with your car because as I was walking back to the street to get my car myself the two guys that were getting cars were FLYING around the parking lot in customer vehicles. I wish that I could recommend another place, but as I mentioned I have been using this place for years so I haven’t no experience any place else. After these last two experiences at AviStar I figure that any place else couldn’t help but be better than what this place has turned into.
