Service, drinks, and food were all exceptional. Our bartender crafted the cocktails right in front of us with care and precision. Planning to return to B-Side and Red Apron on our next trip to Vienna/Fairfax.

It's a great spot for those looking for a casual, friendly place to grab a meal, but it may not be the best option for those looking for a high-end dining experience or an exotic, wide selection of meats.

Spent Father's day here with my daughter. Spent about $100, I ordered the duck confit, it was terrible. The skin was all back, completely burnt and the other stuff in the bowl just tasted burnt as if they cooked with a burnt pan and never cleaned it. I didn't taste the duck at all. The waiter was nice enough to take it back and redo it for me, but it was the same result. Did they even cook a new one for me or did they just go to the kitchen and bring it back out? I have no idea...I really wanted to like the restaurant, a friend of mine gave me spicy beef jerky from Red Apron and said they opened a restaurant next door so everything is fresh from the deli/butcher, so I was so excited, but I'm just so disappointed. 3rd complaint to waiter about the duck confit, I just went ahead and ask for the smashburger, it tasted dry.... the spinach salad and the separate ordered fries were the best part out of the whole father's day meal. Again, I came with high expectations and really wanted to love this place. I'll come back for sure to visit the Red Apron place, I may give the restaurant a 2nd chance with a different dish, maybe the Phatty Melt, I don't know. Check out the photo of the Duck Confit, so you know I'm not exaggerating, burnt black charred duck skins and black under the egg and the burnt taste went into the everythinh else in the bowl. Couldn't taste much of anything else but burnt flavor.

OMG!!! THIS place is soooo good! I had the best chicken and waffles here. Everything was hot and fresh! The gentlemen @ the bar were very helpful. They were welcoming & all around great company. I highly recommend!

Huge drink menu. Probably over 100 beers and wines and small cocktail menu. That's probably where the positives end. They add a 1.5% "admin fee" to every bill because they don't want to pay their staff a living wage. The menu prices aren't cheap either. I honestly wish I can say good things about the food. I got the smashburger and it had a very strong fishy flavor. No joke, from the very first bite to the last. It would've been decent if it didn't taste distinctly like fish. That was just weird

Sooooo good! Burgers were juicy and well seasoned and the fries were amazing! Hot and perfectly salted. Hush puppies were delicious with the hot honey dipping sauce. The cheesecake cigars were yummy and the snickerdoodle moon pie was divine. Service was superb. Super friendly. Atmosphere was fun. We will definitely come back and give one of their steaks a try.

Great atmosphere and excellent food. Perfect portions. Free parking garage across the street with easy access. Reservations are a must as seating is limited. Super cute wine cellar with fresh cut meats and cheese attached to restaurant. Attentive and friendly staff. Unisex bathrooms. Other than the table seating being uncomfortable I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

The food was pretty good. The chicken I ordered was very dry, though. The service was really nice and fast. I think this place is pretty pricey, but the atmosphere kinda makes me forgive it.Food: 4/5

What's to say? They've got the food, they've got the mixed drinks, and it's all amazing. Great beer selection as well.

Service was rude, inattentive and clearly didn’t want to be there. Came in an hour before close 9/3, server was singing to himself about how they were closing soon. Every time a new patron walked in, he would again sing to himself about how they were closing soon. Ordered a 16oz beer. It came in a glass that was marked with a ~12oz line, filled to that line, with about an inch and a half of head. I asked if the beer was not supposed to be a pint. He said it was a pint, he was sure. He then gossiped to the bartender about me in clearly in ear shot because I asked about the glass. He also never checked on the table unless I turned around to until he made eye contact. Burger was delicious cooked perfectly even for a thin patty and well seasoned. Fries fresh and delicious. Food a solid 9. Service about a 2. Maybe come earlier.
