Ever since I was a young boy I've always had an affinity for sweets. Dessert is very much my favourite course and I admit that I have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. The number of times I've heard people say "enjoy it not inhale it" in relation to me eating sweets is actually a little crazy.
When I got a bit older that love for all things sugary blossomed into an affinity for baking very clean, simple, and flavourful desserts for family gatherings, to give as gifts, and for my own devices. Any time I could find a reason to whip up a batch of brownies, blondies, cupcakes, a handful of cinnamon rolls, a cake, a crumble, or some cookies I'd take it. As time went on and the confidence grew I began to wonder if I could pursue this as a business venture. Well, with a bit of work in hospitality using a saute pan not a baking pan and a stint in computer services that venture was delayed ... until now.
I'm pleased to announce the debut of 'Baked', a home bakery in Ancaster making sweet things happen. My focus is to create premium quality desserts using choice ingredients and simple yet flavourful recipes. My desserts are for those desiring sensational flavours and textures while not overwhelming you with sweetness. That might just have you going back seconds ... or thirds ;).
