One of the few that is still standing by the suburb area. I remember this place everywhere, and one by one, they're permanently gone. I came here to pick up some pies, and this place is not busy at all. It looks dead if I'm being honest. Anyway, pie prices have gone up a bit but like everyone else nowadays, each around $20 or so. I haven't been in this place for a long time, and I just found out they have stopped selling seasonal pies and only have the basic/regular kind available. I hope they stay in business as their pies are good, especially during the holidays.
Oh Baker's Square you big beautiful building filled with luxurious pies. I wish you would make a comeback so I can enjoy more locations again. Keep making those delicious foods and don't ever change the honey mustard recipe. Will definitely be back here.
Decent for a quick, average bite to eat. The pie slices are small & the French silk had an odd texture & flavor. The staff was wonderful especially since there were some terrible patrons in there.Food: 3/5
Ordered a French Silk Pie for my son's birthday- the pie was griddy and almost 1/3 crust. I understand inflation and cutting back, but this was the worst pie I have ever had, and we always looked forward to Baker Square pie. Worse is that I was told they made them that morning. Baker Square quality has really gone down- do yourself a favor and got to Jewel and get a Frozen pie and thaw it out for an hour and you will have a far superior pie for 5.99. There is a reason why they are closing locations- leadership is poor, quality control is poor, and there is no pride left.
Great sandwiches, the wife's favorite is the chicken avocado melt. Great employees. The pies....awesome. I'm back Feb 2023. PIE!! CARMEL FRENCH SILK SUPEME PIE. Honey mustard club pita. April 2023 made a quick stop for PIE! Apple for me Carmel french silk for the wife. Great service by TomasFood: 5/5
I just had some chicken noodle soup and a salad. The soup had lots of noodles a few bits of chicken and even less veggies. I would have liked more veggies. There was a tasty bread roll and the salad was fresh with several grape tomatoes and 2 large slices of cucumbers. In all honesty we were there for the pie which is consistently excellent every time.
Our waitress was wonderful, she got all 5 stars. However, the hostess seating us put us in a booth with a ripped up seat. I didn't complain, but I was quite perturbed by it. All in all, it is a great place to dine in at. Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere to enjoy with the entire family.
I have a bit of a soft spot for this place as I went here as a kid way back when it was Max and Erma's. I decided to check this place out with my 3 year old for her birthday and was absolutely psyched with the whole experience. The waitress was constantly making sure we didn't need anything else and was very accommodating. The food came out almost 10 minutes after ordering which blew my mind. Ticket times at this place would make Gordon Ramsey cry from happiness. Surprisingly, the fries were the best part of my meal aside from the pie I got Fly the Coop fries earlier in the day and Bakers Square blew them out of the water. The pie was incredible as always. My wife was also psyched that she could get breakfast at 5 pm. The only downside was that I did get an upset stomach after having a patty melt but it was so good that I didn't really care. The price for food is also very good compared to the sky rocketing costs at other places due to inflation. On a Wednesday with free pie, we paid 40 bucks for 4 meals 2 kids, 2 adults. 4/5 stars as a result. Will be taking the kids here much more often for a quick meal.
120619 Yep a little late. To be honest I have had their pies in the past but never had a meal till now. The restaurant was pretty empty with an older crowd present. The server was attentive always checking on us but our food did take a while to come out. I thought who may be the manager was always hanging out in the dining area. I decided on the Marbled Rye Reuben Hand-shredded corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing on grilled marble rye bread with Seasoned French Fries $10plus Sandwich was lacking in the thousands Island and kraut department and was not a warm sandwich but the corned beef had a nice flavor. The French fries sadly warm soggy and luke warm. My friend had the chopped steak and he thought it wasn't bad. The pie was good We did have a coupon but feel I would not try this place again without another coupon. I was a tad disappointed.
The food was good. It was plated nicely. My turkey was like a deli turkey versus regular turkey but that could be due to shortages caused by the Pandemic. My sons chicken sandwich was chewy. My wifes chicken however was good in her opinion. Mens Bathroom was very dirty including the urinals and stalls. Toilet paper everywhere and nothing clean. Labor shortage due to pandemic? This place has always been good in the past pre covid so hopefully at least kitchen sanitation is good but I don't know.
