A nice place for a decent breakfast, lunch or dinner - you can get pancakes, sausages, omelettes, sandwiches, roasts, and chicken meals plus more. May not be the most healthy of meals but does well for me. But, the place is well known for it's pies - pumpkin, pecan, cherry and much much more. If you get pies for Thanksgiving, make sure you make a reservation as certain pies won't be available without a reservation. I got my reservation for a pumpkin pie fulfilled but a lady ahead of me didn't make a reservation and wasn't able to buy one. Granted, their pies aren't the best but they are decent. If I wanted better, I'll go to a local bakery, but Bakers Square is, as I said before, decent. Service tends to be decent to good, staff is helpful and doesn't so the hard on food items, maybe except for pie for dessert. Furnishings are alright but may need see modernizing. Plenty of parking in the back - leave the front parking for the handicapped and older folks, please.
Had breakfast but everything tasted the same like butter. They must use butter to cook because both the eggs and the hash browns tasted of butter. I love my food to taste like what it is so for me it was not a good experience and not one I would repeat. Only good thing about the visit was our waitress who came over quickly and took our order promptly. She checked in on us a couple of times before bringing the check. Not impressed enough to eat there again.
This is a nice, chain restaurant. The service was very polite and kind! The food was good, probably about average, but was expensive. We had breakfast. Our food was ok, not hot, a little bit greasy, and took quite a while to be delivered. Their gluten free options are limited, but do exist. Our server was the highlight of my visit! Ooh, and I really appreciated the calories for each meal on the menu!
While eating I noticed a dark curve linear hair like in my plate. It appeared to a insect leg. Of course I did not complete nor pay for the order.
Our favorite family restaurant. It is always a pleasure to bring the kids and everyone in tow to this wonderful place, knowing that everyone will enjoy their fare plus the delicious pie especially after the kids just won a soccer tournament. Victoria, our host was outstandingly attentive. We totally gobbled up our repast and went our merry way to come back another day.
Absolutely terrible! My first impression was of taking my son to the restroom where one of the kitchen staff was just hanging out till we finished. He left with out washing his hands, unless he did it before we came in. Next we got some chicken noodles soup - minus the chicken and noodles. Luckily our server, Leo, warned us. He was the only good part of this place. Next came the meal. My wife had a chicken breast that was cold, then I got some mashed potatoes that were cold. I'm not talking about "not hot" I mean cold like having sat in the fridge cold. Last we got some dessert. Pie was fine but my son got the kids sundae. The chocolate sauce looked like play do and just to top off the night he had a nice long hair in it. No wonder so many of these are out of business. I feel bad having to write such a bad review but it is well deserved.
We ordered a few new menu items, and our orders were completely wrong. I get it, the kitchen needs practice, but they literally had a photo on the menu they could copy We let our waitress know, and they fixed the order right away. Even the manager came to check...they definitely care about their customers. Overall, a great place to eat!
Excellent!!! The pies are great ! They have a different pie of the month. Sign up online and you get coupons with discounts. They also give you a free pie for your birthday! The food is good! Great soupes! Can never go wrong with the burgers.
The food quality has changed. I used to LOVE Baker's Square, even though I'm not a pie lover. Now when I go the quality isn't that good. The prices are too much for the portions you get. The staff mostly seems annoyed to be there. Most of the crowd that goes there is older people and grandchildren spending time with grandparents. You of course get the occasional family outing but the crowd is mostly older. Which gives you a great mellow atmosphere.
Baker's Square is a great place for breakfast anytime or for one of their many entrees from a wide menu. They are all about their extensive pie options, a slice of which is an inexpensive add-on to top off any meal, or some meal options come with a choice of items, one of which can be pie. Wednesday is free pie day....with an entree purchase. This restaurant is exactly what you expect it to be...sort of a diner atmosphere and menu, with very reasonable prices and bottomless coffee. Sometimes crowded, sometimes empty. The service can vary with the crowd size. But it is a great place for after a movie or a dinner where you want to linger without feeling rushed out. I was sad to learn that the only other branch near me closed recently.
