balanced athletics was started in Moorestown, NJ in 2008 by Cindy O’Donnell, a certified fitness instructor, athlete, coach and former business owner.
With the decrease in the activity levels of today’s youth coupled with the rise in the competitiveness and year round aspect of youth sports, Cindy observed a need to develop fun, positive and active fitness and athletic programs that may spark an interest in being active and fit regardless of whether they played sports or not. Her programs promote and teach the benefits of being active and physically fit along with the importance of taking care of your body and mind. The activities in the classes cross train all muscle groups and create neuromuscular connections that improve overall coordination and body strength assisting in athletic and everyday physical pursuits.
Cindy’s background as an athlete, outdoor enthusiast, certified fitness instructor, yoga student, youth sports coach, and business operator provide the perfect combination to develop and instruct her balanced athletics programs.
