My husband was in for something serious today and he got extremely good care. I've been in many times for less serious things and also received good care. Yes, you may need to wait. Bring a phone. I've only ever had one bad experience and that was with a grumpy heavy set triage nurse -- but whatever, people have a bad day sometimes. They were immaculate with their care and paperwork before sending us on to Belleville. And if people want to see chaos, go sit in Belleville in Emerge. While we were seen quickly 2.5 hrs the average wait time was FIVE HRS! Appreciate what you have, people.
GOD HELP ME or anyone who needs medical assistance - this hospital is totally incompetent and lacking of ANY empathy. There should be an investigation of this hospital. Oh - and thanks for denying that you didn’t keep my o.h.i.p. card, only to call me almost 2 months after I called you to tell me that indeed you did have it. I will say, the ambulance attendant that helped me when I went in was so kind and helpful, he even stayed with me after and brought me a drink of water when his "job" was done...He was compassionate and caring of the people he brought in. I wish I knew his name; and I hope his efforts are recognized and rewarded. The rest of the staff were indifferent and RUDE.
Everyone was extremely kind, helpful and I was in and out quickly. Dr Griffin, Dr Assistant Abishal and nurse Rachel, nurse Lynn or Lynda sorry if I got names slightly wrong took extremely good care of my minor laceration. So very thankful.
2 Months Ago I gave a negative review. Since then I have had to use the services of Dr. Noltie and Dr. Ferria at the Bancroft emergency hospital and have nothing but praises for these two doctors and the Ultra Sound Tech. I believe it is quite possible they saved my life and got me to Belleville Hospital for a Gallbladder removal all while dealing with a huge number of patients with all sorts of injuries... in the Bancroft Emergency Room... Yes I spent almost 20 hours in the emergency room... but this kind of service does not come quickly... you want the best it takes time.. I was not a priority, which is understandable, but the service was 5 star and well above the call of duty... Thanks Ted Lennox, Bancroft Resident.
Very impressed with staff and facility. I expect to wait given the state of health care in Ontario so I was happy to be looked after in a timely manner. Felt very confident in the care and advice I received. THANK YOU!!
Took my son in with a very sore throat. Triage, registration, strep swab, diagnosis and prescription within 2.5 hours and everyone was super nice. Rooms were clean
This place is scary. hardly any doctors. Nurses are not pleasant. Unless you’re going for something simple I wouldn’t go. Your best bet is go to Barry’s bay.
If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with strep throat symptoms, which I realize is not an emergency but I don’t have a family doctor at this time and have no other way of getting a prescription for antibiotics. I was triaged and registered fairly quickly but then sat in a room for over an hour after my throat was swabbed only for the doctor to come back and tell me to ‘liquids, soup and Advil’. When I said ‘no antibiotics?’ He just said no and then walked away and I said ‘wow what a waste of my time.’ To which he replied ‘well you’re the one decided to come in’. As if me looking for an antibiotic prescription is a waste of his time. Rude, no empathy and seeming annoyed by me even being there.
The doctor and nurses that helped me tonight were incredible! Very attentive and kind. They get the job done for a smaller hospital like this. Kudos to the night staff tonight. Thank you for your service. :
Horrible. Go anywhere else. Emerge is practically empty. 5 hours waiting so far. Won’t give me a time. Similar to other comments, nurses seem to have “a lot of time”. Not too much to do without doctors I guess. . So quiet and empty, Nothing going on. And still waiting. I’ve had no lunch, now it is almost supper time. Im travelling to the US soon and I will gladly pay to have my knee attended to immediately rather than wasting a day of my life sitting around. What a terrible state of affairs if this is what people have to go through these days to get medical attention. Glad I’m not bleeding.
