Our dogs have been clients of Hastings Veterinary Clinic for years. Andrea and her staff are always pleasant and accommodating. Their care and concern for our pets’ wellbeing is always their primary consideration and their compassion is in the forefront of their interactions with us, as the pet caregivers, particularly in the most difficult of decisions in dealing with the circle of life. All staff and Dr. Giffin are very caring and gentle. They provide quality care. We have a small, senior dog with multiple health issues and moved an hour's drive away last year. We chose not to transfer her care to a local vet. We continue to make the trip to have her care with Dr. Giffin.

I have only been a client of Hastings Veterinary Hospital after recently moved to the area for one year. This week I had my first experience of getting a sick cat treated. I was a bit nervous since I had dealt with the same Veterninary Clinic in Brampton since 1986. The staff quickly put me at ease with the kind way they related to my cat combined. The Dr. explained everything and answered all my questions. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this clinic.

The entire staff at Hastings Veterinary Hospital are truly wonderful. We take our 3 doggie there, and they always put them at ease. They aren't as afraid to go see the Dr anymore. Highly recommended

I have been coming to Hastings Vet now for a year and since moving to this area from 3 hours away, one of the biggest worries I had was who would take care of my pets with the same quality and care as where they had been before I can truthfully say that I have never been happier to have the team at Hastings as my caregivers for my pets. Our senior dog Atlas had been on multiple medications to help with developing arthritis and they were somewhat effective but not 100%. Our Dr recommended a new med that was just coming onto the market with exceptional results so we decided to try him on it. From the beginning of the medication until now, she has been in touch with me regularly for updates, as well as to share any insights she has seen. Since he has started using it, hes moving more feely and without pain, and is happier overall which was always my number one goal for him! When my other dog ate something he shouldn't have, they were there and ready to help immediately when I brought him in and have loved on him since! I would recommend Hastings Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a great vet who focuses on animal care, compassion, dedication and investment into their own development as well. I was worried leaving the team I had in guelph and the proximity to OVC as well but I did not need to worry because HVH is Very well suited to handle your pets needs! I trusted them and took my dog here and they did a terrible job ! My dogs eye is completely messed up because of them.

Switched vets as this place giving me lots of medication for my dog to calm him. My dog is outgoing and loves people but cries and hides under chairs here. Vet did not introduce herself to dog and comes in and starts assessing. Vet would give up when my dog would try and get away from her. and still charge same amount. Giving multiple sedation meds for a basic check up. Have heard from others this is consistent and vet would do this a lot to other animals. My dog does well at the groomers no problem as well as at home or training. Vet talked to us like we didn’t know anything even though I am a nurse.

Extraordinary kind doctor, nurse and tech helped our doggy get tested, diagnosed, and start getting effective treatment and recovering within a couple of hours. They also call to check in about your pet for the next couple weeks!

Excellent service right in our backyard. Very fortunate to have in our community. I would highly recommend to anybody.
