Bandidos has been steadily making some of the best Mexican food in SW Denver, for decades! This family-owned business has kept it in the family and it never disappoints on flavor, portion, or service. One of my favorite things besides the food, is the massive leftover mural from what I believe was a Chinese restaurant before Bandidos took over way back when. See you next time!
Stopped in by myself for lunch. One couple ahead of me waiting for the very casual hostess. Lunch hour business is very slow here. It seems to be more of a takeout business. No lunch or happy hour menus. Full price all the time. Regrettably, $14 doesn't buy much. Small, but we'll stocked bar. House margaritas were good; served in festive glasses. The complimentary chips tasted like they were reheated too many times, but OMG the home-made salsa was a HIT! Yum! The #12 combo was delicious! Perfectly crispy, crunchy relleno with amazing chewy cheesy filling. The basic bean y cheese tostada was hot, fresh & crispy, garnished with lettuce & nothing extra on top, but two little tomato morsels. The chicken enchilada single was light on chicken, but forgivingly heavy on sauce and cheese. No rice or beans included My regret was how small the portions were, considering the price. Parking: Plenty of room in the Strip Mall parking.
Worst experience ever tried to go there for dinner with the wife. They were not busy when we finally got seated dirty sticky menus toss on table with no hello then chips tossed on table still with no hello or sorry I'm busy. The table seated after was greeted and ask what they wanted to drink. We walked out needless to say and we will not return. Called to talk with Manager with nothing more than weak appologee. I will certainly never go back and tell everyone I know not to step foot in the door. It's no wonder it never busy with service like that or should I say lack of service
Used to come here all the time, but it's been a decade or so. Food is still good, but service was not. Wanted a margarita before dinner, but never did get it...waitress seemed very confused...dropped off the food and never came back to the table. I left and my husband had to go up and ask for the check. Disappointed. They didn't offer anything to make up for it either. Won't be back...I will keep going to Potrancas.
My parents are regulars here, and the staff is so good to them. The food is amazing, the margaritas delicious, and the service great. Just a perfect little neighborhood spot.
My wife and I have been coming here for many years and have never had a bad meal. We love the people and the food!
Best margarita, guac and tacos I’ve ever had. Very reasonably priced, great portion sizes. Loved the ambiance - this is my new go to Mexican restaurant. I wish I could give it 10 stars!
The woman running this place is in her element- she was hospitable, had great energy and loved taking care of people. The food was ok- our chips were stale and the salsa had an overwhelming taste of cilantro in it. Our main dishes came out piping hot, our taco shells were also stale but the meat was deliciously flavored! The interior of this place is difficult to over come. Right as you enter there’s storage and multiple booths/bar stools were split open. I’d try this place again simple because the one woman running the place was so charming to be around.
Great food and good fantastic service! Carnitas are amazing!
Bad experience all around. Service was terrible. There were like 4 tables occupied and we had to flag down our waitress every time. Chicken had bone and fat in it. I've been here before and it was good, but has gone way downhill. Won't be back.
