This is a rustic place that appears time has forgotten about . From the extreme potholes during the drive in to the poorly kept grounds. Our stay was less than enjoyable. The shining light to this is that it's located close to 85, and not far from restaurants, shopping and downtown. The owner and his son seems nice. There are farm animals around. We were thankful for a place to stay while we visited family, but will NOT return. Edit: I am unable to respond to the owner, so I will do it here. You are making unverifiable claims, but the truth is that your park isn't managed well. Say what you will, but it sounds like deflection. The fact of the matter is that you aren't keeping things well maintained. I travel full time and have visited multiple parks therefore, I have several parks to compare this one to. Seems awful petty that you felt the need to "question other customers" in regards to our visit. So you go to other customers and question them, instead of dealing with my critique? It's unreasonable.
The grounds are very rustic and cozy. Chickens, roosters, and cows are seen all around. The location is close to a number of restaurants. The bathrooms are not great. They run out of hot water before your camper shower will. We also had issues with our electric hookup and had to connect to the site next to us for our stay, luckily no one was in that spot. But overall, a nice, affordable rustic option for RV parking
If you're looking for a quiet space to relax with big shaded spots, this is it. Just minutes away from all the hussle and bustle, you'll find peace and quiet at this RV park. Fall asleep to the sounds of nature rather than loud neighbors, and traffic. Hospital, WalMart, coffee shops, resturants... all within 10 minutes. We needed an extra day, and the owner and his son were very understanding, and let us stay and check out late with no extra fees. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. The owner walks around and greets the guests, and it was interesting hearing about his farm that's been in their family for 5 generations. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations and the extra night! A little side note to the person complaining about the water. We had no issues at all.with the hot water. If you take a reasonably timed shower you have plenty of hot water. An RV park isn't the time to take an hour long shower.
Mike was a gracious and helpful host. This is a 300+ acre working farm with cattle, donkies, geese, chickens, roosters and more..... So be aware if you're not into that. Plenty of 30 and 50 amp hookups with concrete landings next to hard-packed gravel parking pads. Lots of back-in and pull-thru spots. Laundry on site and good reception on WiFi. We watched the deer graze in the meadow behind our RV while roasting s'mores with our kids. Pets are welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back. The only regret I have is we didn't have time to stay longer. Thanks Mike!
I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 month long stay at the Bar W Rv Park. This park is right in the middle of one of the oldest working farms in the area. It was a pleasure to talk with Mr. Mike and Ms. Debra on a day to day basis. Mr. Mike was very accommodating and made sure everything at my site was operational. He is quite the character but be warned.... He doesn't take anyone's BS or complete disregard for the rules on his property, however, he would do everything in his power to provide you with an enjoyable stay. Most long term residents here are college students, military, and disabled veterans. The owner is a veteran and offers discounted rates for military and veterans which was greatly appreciated. Most sites have plenty of privacy and all the long term residents are extremely respectful. The place is extremely quiet for the most part, however, the cattle farm is a daily operation. Roosters crow, geese honk, ducks quack, dogs bark, and cows moo on this property. You might even hear Mr. Mike calling his cows. Other than that, everyone keeps to themselves. The park has security cameras in place for safety and there are plenty of lights on at night. The laundry facilities were always operational as well. The putt putt course is fun for the whole family! I would definitely stay here again and will most certainly come visit the Ward's from time to time.
Very friendly staff and cozy farm. This is a good spot for a quiet and peaceful camping trip! you also need to enjoy watching the cows!
The owner was intelligent and helpful to us new owners not new to camping. Some places local were like parking lots and that is not how we wanted to feel our first time out w the RV. This gem makes you feel like you are out in the woods, the animals on site are a farm touch and country feel. The bathrooms are clean and warm. Very relaxing and nicely priced place. I will definitely be back! Forgot to mention how nice it is to have septic tank at your own site! Electric was easy at site w 50amp.
My husband and I stayed at Bar W for over a year. Mr Ward and his wife were very nice and we always felt safe in their park. Seeing the cows, dogs, chickens, and deer around the park everyday made us feel at home. We would recommend this RV park to any and everyone.
We had a great time staying at the Bar W. Mike is a great guy, real friendly and eager to help, it’s real quite here and overall just a pleasant experience. We stayed 3 nights but would have stayed longer if we didn’t have other places to be. Don’t miss a chance to stay here, play some mini golf or just relax in one of the shady spots here. You won’t regret it! We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to the area.
Our family of five had a nice stay at Bar W, it was peaceful and fun. There’s a putt-putt, bathrooms with hot water, and washers/dryers. The owner is friendly and laid back. We would stay here again.
