Baring is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 220 at the 2010 census. It is located on U.S. Highway 2 about 22 miles west of Stevens Pass, along a very flat and straight three-mile section of highway that's been dubbed the Baring Straight since U.S. 2 is otherwise hilly and curvy through the mountains.GeographyBaring is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.8 square miles, of which, 1.7 square miles of it is land and 0.1 square miles of it is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 233 people, 105 households, and 59 families residing in the CDP.
