Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network —”BARN”—is a non-profit formed to build and operate an artisan center on Bainbridge Island. The new BARN facility will open on June 3, 2017.

BARN offers well-equipped community workshops for traditional and 21st century crafts, ranging from metalworking, fiber arts and cooking to building robots and using 3-D printers or laser cutters to make complex parts. There are classes for all skill levels, as well as open studio time where people can learn informally from one another while working on personal and community service projects.

"A non-profit makerspace and learning place, the Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network BARN has studios for everything from Book Arts to Woodworking. Take a class, work on a project, or come to share your knowledge with others. Well-equipped studios invite exploration and innovation.Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be a BARN member to participate.
