Barnstone Art for Kids is a creative resource for qualified child centers looking to provide their children with an arts program. With the mission statement, "Using the power of art to help children with a shaken sense of security heal, cope and grow," Barnstone Art for Kids believes children need positive adult interaction and the opportunity to express themselves.
Barnstone Art for Kids Power of Art Program features an interactive art project between a child and a volunteer mentor each week for 6 weeks in a small group setting promoting creativity, confidence and problem solving. We are currently developing a full year curriculum for sustained arts programming, with the success of our small groups motivating progress for the future.

Building Confidence: We give children the control to take each project in the direction they choose. When a child's unique vision is supported by our mentors, kids feel confident, empowered and respected.
Healthy Expression: We provide fun materials and encourage each child to look at the world in a different light. Each child is granted the freedom to express themselves in their own way without judgment. Kids are allowed to be kids.
Nurturing: While assisting with the creative process, our positive adult role models are attentive, empathetic and reassuring toward each child and his or her imagination.
Passion: We wholeheartedly believe in the old adage "it takes a village," and we invest our energy into building the right environment that children need to succeed. By pairing a child and mentor, together, they can create positive moments that may impact a lifetime.
