I asked the Conservancy to restore a damaged painting my grandfather had done many years ago there was a hole and tear in the canvas, and the varnish had darkened the colors considerably. In addition to looking brighter and more natural, the repairs are absolutely invisible. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship; Phillip and his staff have a large, airy workshop and attached gallery, and they are professional in every way. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing such work.
A++ I have been bringing prints for 20+ years for restoration and framing. Kate has an impeccable eye for elegantly matching the frame to the print…the range has been a 4’ x 8’ Tamayo mixograph to grouping of 1” x 2” engravings by Hans Sebald Beham. Always exemplary. Again A++
True experts in art restoration. If you have any paintings over 50 years old they will work a miracle on it and make it look brand new. They did an outstanding job on my piece. I was extremely happy with their work. You won’t find comparable level of expertise elsewhere. Highly recommended.
The Pennsylvania Art Conservatory restored my antique Chinese painted leather panel. My piece was warped, the backing was shot, and the some paint was missing. They painstakingly replaced the backing, removed the old varnish, touched up the missing paint, and straightened the entire piece. Philip Rosenfeld thoroughly explained the process and the end result. He answered all of my questions and I felt confident that my panel was in the best hands. All of the staff were exceptional and I could not be happier with the final product. I was curious about the whole process and the staff were kind enough to take images of the restoration and send me a cd of the process. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Professionals in every sense.
Excellent. After movers damaged a priceless painting, the team calmly set about figuring how it could be repaired and preserved, and delivered a few months later. Thank you for your craft, and your kindness in a stressful moment. I strongly recommend Pennsylvania Art Conservatory.
Outstanding, honest and knowledgable , can be trusted for repairs on oil paintings having considerable intrinsic value
