Description

We are a daycare and full service boarding facility for dogs and cats. When staying with us, your pet will receive plenty of love and attention. We provide 24 hour supervision, indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as heated and air conditioned rooms to ensure your pet is comfortable. Group play time and individual special care are available.

Your pet can enjoy a weekend away at our quiet resort with a half acre fenced in yard to enjoy romps with his friends and his favorite caretakers. Each pet has his own suite with a private outdoor run. The owners live at Barrington Pet Resort and do the evening tuck in service each night before bed to ensure your pet is always safe and secure. Boarded my dog here for 10 days whilst we went to Europe. The photos that were sent daily looked like a chore strolling around by himself. He had never been so filthy as the day I picked him up. Ended up spending over $1,000 in vet fees to resolve digestive issues. The fact that the majority of the photos focus on the family rather than the facilities should have been a “red flag” Don’t typically post negative reviews but this one still grates …
Excellent kennel. They are well staffed and can pay attention to all the furry guests, especially my sometimes anxious pup. The kennels are spacious and have connected outdoor runs if your dog wants to hang outside. They also offer playtime in a spacious fenced grassy area small extra charge, which my dog loves. They also do a nice job keeping notes and providing updates; you get a daily report card. They will call you if there are any concerns or questions. My problem is that my pup is so happy to run around and roll outside, he is dirty by the end of his stay ; we usually request that he have a bath before pick up, which is a nominal extra charge. I would recommend this kennel.
Great place to board doggies. They are super convenient and very good at ensuring doggies are vaccinated prior to stays for everyone's benefit.
Dog owners beware. Customer service doesn’t exist at this location anymore. We dropped our dog here for overnight boarding. We have taken him here many times and picked him up with no problems. We tried to pick up our dog and instead of explaining that they were closed for lunch the gentleman at the front desk slammed the door in my husband’s face. He escalated the situation by not being friendly and hostile while they had our animal. The interaction left us feeling like something was wrong with our dog because of the way the gentleman was acting. We asked for him to just bring us our dog but he refused saying he was on lunch. This is not dry cleaning, this is a breathing living animal that belongs to us. We should NEVER have to fight to get our animal back. This whole interaction could have been avoided if everyone was properly trained on how to handle customers and to view dogs as living breathing things. Never taking our dog here again. Tip, maybe having rotating shifts so that the whole place doesn’t stop just because one person is on lunch.
I originally posted on the Arlington Heights location, so I apologize for any inconvenience to that location. However, this place has absolutely awful customer service. My wife and I arrived after our wedding to pickup our dog. We arrived at 12:15 pm to a CLOSED sign on the door and a Jimmy John's worker waiting to deliver food. After I helped the Jimmy John's worker by knocking on the door, an employee of TailChasers opened the door and took the food, but barely acknowledged my existence. I asked if we could get our dog and he said "No, you need to come back at one o'clock." I was shocked by this because it would only take 2 minutes to get our dog and NOWHERE on all of the email confirmations was there any mentioning of a time we could not get our pet. They refused to let us take him and closed the door on us. Not only that, but they LIED to us and said that this information was shared with us when we checked our dog in. This would be like showing up to daycare and the staff saying you could not get your child. When we arrived later they justified the rude behavior by saying they are required a lunch break, which is understandable, but there were at least 5 workers presently there and none of them were apparently able to help us. Luckily we were not super pressed for time because otherwise we were at the mercy of their rules. Furthermore, the owner of this location has yet to apologize to us and has even blamed us for the terrible behavior. There is constant miscommunication and awful customer service. I would never recommend someone to this company.
We take Millie and piggy to the Arlington Heights location for day care but boarded them at BPR for a week while on vacation. We received daily pictures and report cards and never worried for a second if they were being adequately cared for. We paid a little extra for the pups to partake in group play a few times a day. They had their own outdoor dog run in their kennel for times they weren’t outside, but they also had to opportunity to go out four times a day. We will absolutely be trusting BPR with our pups anytime we go away in the future. They are simply the best!
After I dropped my 2dogs off, the communication went to zero, no report card, nothing, call the next day no answer, hour later the director calls me saying they can't put my dog on the leash. Long story short..my dogs now have some nasty virus or disease around their mouth ans my big dog is limping and barringron pet resort is responsible and now they DON'T CARE!!!
Great owners and staff! They treat your pets like they're family and do their best to keep you and your furry kids happy and content!
The groomer and all the staff are joyful and sweet towards my dog. Each treated my senior dachshund who has health concerns with love and were able to groom her beautifully.
