Established in 2004 and servicing over 600 customers weekly, we are continuing to grow and expand in the Chicagoland area.

I don't like writing bad reviews how about companies but when a company decides to drop you as a client because you complain about poor service, that's a problem. Today I received a text from doggy detail in North Barrington, stating that they could no longer service my account because they don't have a technician in the area. I found this a bit shocking so I did some digging. My neighbor inquired about their services and doggy detail told them they could service their house with no problem. This house is right next-door to mine. I then called the company and they stuck with the lie. They stated we do not have a technician in the area to service you. I told them, my neighbor just spoke with you and you were willing to service their house. after I called them out on their lie, they had nothing to say. Essentially, they decided to drop me as a client because I called them out on poor service. This is a company you do not want to do business with.
Brenden is the BEST! I have 5 dogs and I was able to take care of my husband after his surgery because he was on the job cleaning up after my babies. Thank you Brenden!
We have been using them for a few months now and they are great. They show up on time, in and out in a timely manner, and their customer service is very quick to respond. They have given us a peace of mind knowing that our son can go and play in the yard and not have to worry about him stepping in any poop. They lock the gate back up every time they leave and leave no trace behind that they were ever there. We are glad we made this decision and would recommend them to anyone we know.
My biggest issue was the lack in communication. The yard was not fully cleaned, but I was still charged as if the technician completely cleaned the yard. They apparently decided that it was okay to not notify me of why I was still be charged for an incomplete service. Additionally, they did not arrive at the original time they had given. It’s a bit frustrating that I had to call to figure out why they didn’t complete the service. They claim that there was more waste than expected, and that the grass was too long. I would have liked to know that before being charged for a service. I do appreciate that they have agreed to a slight refund, but I suggest using the ‘Inspection Report’ given to clients to actually add details about the job.
I've been using Doggy Detail for almost 5 years now. They provide reliable and dependable service. Customer service is responsive; any problems are dealt with in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
DO NOT USE If you have kids...Try Tails to Pails, Pet Butler, or Affordable K9 Poop Patrol. Doggy Detail guys never "walk the grid" as advertised. Consistently called to because they left so many piles all over the yard. Like other reviewers, I had to prove it by circling 12 piles left in the yard less than an hour after service was supposedly completed. I also had to rely on my security camera video to prove the time spent in my yard was less than 2 minutes. When we complained multiple times we were told that our price would nearly double due to us causing difficulty. They were already charging more than all their competitors as it was!! Maybe if you don't plan on using your yard, this service would eek by, but with 2 kids and a swing set in the yard, I often had to clean off shoes just hours after they allegedly "cleaned" the yard. There were also a week when they did not show up at all. You will save money and definitely avoid a MAJOR HASSLE by skipping over doggy detail and going with someone who actually provides service and has more honest rates.
Best thing I ever decided to do is to have Doggy Detail clean my yard every week. I have back issues and found that I couldn't continue to clean the yard myself. Found them on Angie's List. Called and spoke with Brian - great guy! Definitely recommend!
Next-day service after a big thaw was a pleasant surprise and then when they called me post-service to let me know the cost would be CHEAPER than actually quoted, I was floored! Great way to establish an ongoing customer by being an honest, hard working company. Thank you!
We did a one time clean up with this company after my disabled father let the waste go for a while. He had three dogs and it had built up. They came out on a snowy day and after three large garbage bags the yard was clean. We like them so much we subscribed to their weekly cleaning now with 5 dogs. Great guys, professional service and I would highly recommend them to anyone. What a "crappy" job, but I sure do appreciate them.
Awesome service, I wish I could have them come more than once a week. They definitely help us keep our yard clean, especially when our kids love to play outside all summer long!
