We didn't stay at the lodge. But we did have reservations for dinner w family. Very diverse menu; we all had something different and it was all fabulous. The service was Impeccable. The small downside was, the banquet seat was badly damaged all across and not enough gravy on the Marsala and short ribs. Perch was amazing. Compact dessert menu, but who has room for dessert with all the yummy entrees and sides. We did not feel rushed. Will definitely go back!
My family had lunch here after my grandpa’s funeral and we ended up getting there much earlier than we had originally told them but they were incredibly accommodating. The room upstairs was lovely and the servers were very kind. The food was good and there was plenty of it. We were very impressed overall!
We love the Lodge at Bass Lake. It's an annual go-to for my wife and me. The restaurant/bar/patio make the whole stay worthwhile. The rooms are older and feel dated, even the ones "updated" by the new management this year, but they're spacious and have nice balconies for enjoying the morning. Breakfast is lacking; sometimes they leave decent prepackaged options in the rooms, and sometimes they don't. Some of the items in our snack basket were expired during our last stay July 2022. Headwaters Park is worth a visit while you're in the area, as is the antique mall on the square.
I went with family member for lunch only. The food was delicious. The appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts with Maple Syrup was wonderful! It was enough for 4 to share but just 2 of us and it was so delicious that we ate it all! I had 1/2 Turkey/ Bacon sandwich with avocado. The whole grain bread was great just made it little thick to bite, but I did! My guest had CAB burger on fresh bun with fries and topped as she wished. She couldn't finish hers but it was great too. Our server was attentive and refilled drinks as needed. Sorry we didn't have room for dessert. No pictures either as didn't think about reviewing.
Had to wait just 5-10 minutes on a busy Friday evening for our tableseems as though many of the early diners were lingering too long at their tables. Food was delicious and fresh. Hamburger with Cherry Bacon Jam was excellent as was the French Onion Soup. Our server, Courtney was prompt to get our cocktails and take our food order and checked on us quickly after the meals were delivered to see if there was anything else we needed. Even though it rained just a bit, we stayed dry under the tents that are set up on the patio. Looking forward to going back soon.
A group of us had lunch in the Tavern. Hostess did not give us enough lunch menus. Someone had to ask her to give us enough for every person. Our waitress was courteous and efficient. Lunch menu contained the usual soup, salads, sandwiches and sides. Portions were generous. Prices were ok. In line with today's rising food prices. The restaurant was clean.
I never like to write bad reviews but honestly with how we were treated by our waitress I have too. My husband and I booked a stay and a reservation at the inn. We ordered an appetizer and drinks and an entree each. She came to our table roughly 3x she never brought bread never refilled our drinks and kept serving the table beside us. We felt like ignored and looked down upon.We did tip her but only 20 percent which my husband fought me on because of how poorly she acted towards us.The food was super expensive but not well made. We didn't even end up staying in the room because the tub had so much hair in it. I hope this place improves but we won't be back our anniversary was a bust.
My boyfriend took me here for a special occasion on a Wednesday night and had made reservations ahead of time. We had heard the new owners also owned Warrens Spirited Kitchen and we were excited because we love that restaurant . When we arrived we were not greeted by anyone in a friendly manner it was almost like they were put out by us being there. The server was not attentive. We ran out of our beverages before we were asked if we wanted another and the bread the server said she left to go get came out 15 minutes later. The food was ok however nothing to get excited about. We have no intentions of going back.
Excellent food, nice wait staff. A little bit pricey, but well worth the trip! Short Ribs are the best I have ever had! Burgers are great too!Rooms: 5/5
We had reservations for dinner and after we were seated the waitress told us that their grill hadn't worked since Christmas and that our menu choices were limited. They could have let us know before our arrival and let us decide if we still wanted to dine there. The waitress was impatient and rushed the ordering process. We wanted salads with our dinners and could barely get her to add them. The salmon and sides were overly salted as was the turkey dinner and short ribs. The turkey dinner was supposed to come with cranberry and there was none. My dinner arrived lukewarm. People at tables surrounding ours all had rolls with their dinners and we were never offered any. A restaurant at this price point should do much better at serving their customers.
