Food was great, service was awful. It took 10-15 minutes to get drinks, and another 30 minutes to get our bill, and didn't offer us dessert.
Delicious food and lovely service!
I've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed!! The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is never less than wonderful. Last time I went with my dude before seen the the show Rent. The owner took time to visit with us about Broadway shows and I walked out of there laughing! And the food! Tortellini Carbonara is my go to dish, but everything is amazing. Whether to celebrate a special day, or just to eat with friends, Basta at East Port is just a great place to eat!
It is Valentine's Day and we stopped in to see if they would take us. They more than went above and beyond to seat us and gave us an awesome experience for our Valentine's Day and anniversary. The food was delicious and our server was a delight. I would recommend Basta to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience and great service and food.
Nice little Italian restaurant - family owned, family run and family staffed. The food is excellent and served in ample portions. The desert list is intriguing and the wine list is varied, so you should be able to find something to your taste from all three areas. Prices are modest. We will be back.
We were a party of ten ladies out for lunch. The service was friendly and efficient. I had fettuccine Alfredo de mare. It was excellent, full of shrimp, scallops, and crab, with a tasty sauce. The bread was warm and crusty. The owner came over to visit with us and was very gracious. The servings were generous and reasonably priced.
Had dinner few times over here. It has been always full of flavors and fresh. Decent choices and loved their dessert. The service was very good but the noise from the soda machines was little bothering. The quantity is quite good but the pasta quantity overwhelms the other ingredients.
A surprising find! You know a place is good when they have customers who order their usual! They do a good bit of carry out business too. Food was fresh, bright and delicious! The place to go for delicious, authentic Italian food! They were very accommodating to our large group too.
I had a mixed opinion on first back in a long time. The server was friendly but either too many tables or just not organized. Took a while to even get salads but once we got entrees everything was delicious. Will definitely go back but don't walk in hungry aloow for hour plus before you get food. Enjoy some bread and oil!!
We love this place. The food is great. We’ve always had excellent service. They go out of their way to ensure our kids feel comfortable. The owners are involved and it’s well run. I highly recommend. Their family size options are great for entertaining.
