Jonah's is a real treat and will not disappoint. The food is delicious and plentiful, plus a bakery/market is attached next to it. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere, great service and outstanding seafood and steaks, please give them a try. They are closed Sundays and Mondays. Fridays and Saturdays are busy, however they do accept reservations.
We had a fantastic date night dinner. The food was excellent, I got the mango scallops and my husband got the sesame tuna. We also got coconut shrimp and raw oysters for appetizers. The carrot cake and chocolate cake slices are huge!Food: 5/5
If you're in town, highly recommended! Very nice staff, great food and great views! I came in as a solo visiting and asked if I could sit outside, no hesitation at all and the staff was very accommodating. I will be back as many times as I can in the near future. Very large place right on the water. We were seated next to windows with a nice view of the river. We were quickly approved by our server who was quick to get in our order and bring it out. Oyster Rockefeller took the longest, but everything else was raw or batch made. Only complaint which was minor was that my prosecco was delivered to me in a white wine glass instead of a champagne glass. There's an oyster bar side which has more of a lively bar side with more bar food and a market which sells items on their menu.
Jonah's always great! Really go for the Chumbo! Not on the menu but New England Clam Chowder and Seafood Gumbo Mixed! Raw Oysters never disappoints. Salmon is always buttery and grilled to perfection! Service was good. Decent wines on their list and descent beer selection as well.
Fun place for date night or small bday gathering. They do NOT take reso or call ahead just kinda have to watch for an open table. Good drink selection, friendly service always fresh food. Desserts are AHHMAZING. Choc cake or carrot
Absolutely love Jonah's! They never fail. Best seafood in the area. Hands down! Had our anniversary dinner here tonight. Tuna for me, and the cod for my better half.Food: 5/5
While I generally love the food I get at Jonah's, this last visit was less than desirable. I ordered the fried cod sandwich. While it was delivered hot, the fish was thin, very over cooked and dry. Other than that, meal was good. Definitely try their scalloped potatoes and/or Cole slaw. My friend got the grouper, which I've had in the past and it's usually amazing. However the piece they received was very thin as well; although they enjoyed the flavor.
We cane back specifically for the fried oysters. Unfortunately they were not to standard. They tasted unclean and were definitely overcooked. We did not receive service for sometime until a staff member that was clearly assigned to a different section asked if we had been greeted. He was kind enough to add us to his responsibilities. I’m chalking this visit up to the event that was takin place outside. We will give them Jonah’s another chance because our first experience was amazing.
Amazing dinner on Valentines day. Reservations were made and we only had a minimal wait to be seated. Our waitress, Brynna F was delightful, attentive and excellent server. The food was perfection. We had crab rangoon and shrimp cocktail, Jambalaya and Filet w/grilled shrimp and desserts. A+++ experience!!!
