Today was our first day at the clinic, I have to say that our experience was wonderful. I have a little 5-year-old Chihuahua and always makes me nervous every time we go to the vet even if it is a routine day or vaccinations, but this time it was different, starting with the receptionist a very kind woman, then the assistant assisted us very kind and affectionate with my dog. Then we were treated by Dr. Wanda Guzman, a wonderful woman. She completely examined my dog and she was very affectionate, kind and very professional, she explained the entire appointment process in detail and she examined my dog and gave her the vaccines very kindly. It was the first time that I didn't feel like my little girl was just a number. It is wonderful to find a place where your dog is well treated and where you can trust the health of your pet.
Love this veterinary clinic! Dr. Baxter herself has retired from this location although she has come out of retirement in her current location and her presence is missed terribly. However, the existing staff are wonderful! They are extremely capable, professional, and most of all, loving and compassionate with the animals who come through their doors. I had a beloved cat who needed to be euthanized a few years ago, and they were exceptional. Despite my profound grief, they arranged their scheduling so that the clinic was responsive and supportive. I will never forget their compassion.
Baxter Animal Hospital and all the staff there have been amazing! I know it’s currently hard to find a vet taking new clients, but if you can get in here, I highly recommend trying. We have been a client since moving to Sudbury 4 years ago. They have a great online booking system, they send reminders for appointments, they have answered many questions from me via email or phone and do not always insist I come in for an appointment if they’re able to help me with a simple question via email or phone. Dr. Tim is so friendly and non-judgemental. We’ve been met with both humour and extreme compassion from all staff, depending on what our visit calls for. One time I even had a receptionist offer to stay in the clinic a bit late to accommodate a sudden shift in my work schedule so I could could up my pup later than planned after a surgical procedure. Very caring and friendly staff, from the front desk, to the techs to the vets.
My husband has gone to Baxter all of his pet owning years. We got together while he had two dogs and I got very familiar with Baxter when our boxer needed surgery. They were incredible with the dogs, and when it came to the end of their lives they were gracious and caring. We now have four cats and have continued to go to them. All of our cats receive great care just as our dogs did. They have a caring and genuine team. I have called to just ask questions and they have given me a ton of advice and always want to make sure your pet is the best they can be.
We had some medical concerns with my 8 week old puppy. From the moment I called Baxter on the phone, I felt like I was being taken care of. They gave excellent and clear instructions over the phone on what to do with my dog until we could get her in to the Vet to see the Dr. The Vet techs were very concise and thorough leaving me with no unanswered questions and a sense of relief for my pup! From the ladies at the front, to the Vet Techs, all the way to the Dr's- everyone was very supportive and empathetic. Would recommend them to everyone!
First visit at Baxters Animal Hospital this week. Absolutely amazing service by everyone. What a welcoming environment. Izzy was nervous and the wonderful vet assistants really helped her feel at ease. Vet was incredible and vaccination went perfect! Definitely recommend! We are so fortunate to be part of their family!
Baxter has been our vet for 14years. No complaints. Staff are friendly and vets/vet techs are thorough. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with furry friends. Like all other vets, they are very busy, and you do need to book ahead of time. We are lucky to have them!
Worst experience I’ve ever had at a vet clinic. If you love your pets do not bring them here. Receptionist is rude and unprofessional. Pushed and underquoted an additional 40$ for a add on vaccine for my cats. When asked if that’s all we had to pay was the $40 charge they said yes. At the next appointment they billed us 400$ for the booster of that add on. We are filing a claim for professional misconduct on behalf of the Vet and the Clinic for lying and taking advantage of clients.
Amazing experience at this clinic. I recently brought my dog in for an annual checkup and some vaccines, and was pleasantly surprised with the price. Dr. Tim was really sweet with my pup and even took the time to explain everything with me. He was so good that my dog didn’t even realize when she got her shots.
I have been with Baxter Animal Hospital since I became Tosh’s guardian, so for two years. They are consistently helpful and knowledgeable; the staff is courteous and so,pleasant. Dr. Blatt takes his time with his clients and answers questions honestly. I would strongly recommend this animal hospital for your pet needs.
