My wife and I took a last minute Labor Day camping trip.... it was our first time here and we can't wait to come back. Large campground, many sites are huge! Clean, updated bathrooms and showers. The campground is across the street from an awesome beach part of the State Park, huge beach, plus you can use a lot of the water as it's shallow a long ways out! Relatively short drive from the Detroit area. We will be adding this campground to our summer camping list. Restrooms: Clean and updated
Awesome camping very quit an peaceful. The showers a facility are up to date an in great condition . The beach is awesome witch you can collect alot of rocks The beach is covered in them .the camp ground has its own store with stuff can buy fire wood an stuff .or you can go into town they have everything you need Walmart restraint. Grocery store. Ext. I love this place been going since I was a kid an I'm 48 know
Gorgeous park with a lot of trails and differing scenery. Beach with wheelchair access.. AND you can call a number to use a beach wheelchair. I love the accessibility of this place. So clean too!
Beautiful! Granted I went at night to witness the Northern Light but unfortunately the sky did not give way to such events. Instead, we sat, on top of the hill, amongst the playground equipment. There's a water park for children, which was off due to it being night time. We walked the beaches and listened to the frogs, and other night time beach critters. All in all, 10/10 recommend! The staff was kind and kept to themselves, the area was clean and there was plenty of seating and parking on my next trip to the great state of Michigan I will absolutely come visit this Park in the daytime Playground: Water and traditional Restrooms: The restroom by the entrance has changing rooms as well as bathrooms and running water. There were also two toilets by the beach entrance that were without running water Picnic area: From single picnic benches to large groups under roof, options for any family size
Saginaw Bay is one of the largest freshwater coastal wetlands in the state of Michigan. Huge sandy beach great for walking and fun for the whole family. There are over 2000 acres of wetland woods, cattail marshlands and oak savannah prairies which makes for a great area for birding. Good trails with wooden walkways and lookouts. The Saginaw Bay Park is huge with a new " Play by the Bay " Park which is great for families as well as a Spray Park. If you are looking for a great area for biking, hiking, birding, swimming,or just to relax and watch the sunsets..come to Saginaw Bay State Park.
What a beautiful and fun state park! They just added a brand new big playground and big splash pad. Plus there's a big beach and multiple areas to swim. There's a campground, many trails and Marsh lands to walk and site see. Playground: Awesome for the kiddos! Brand new. Restrooms: Clean buildings. There's flushing toilets and sinks as well as Porta potties along the trails. Dog-friendliness: There were a lot of people walking dogs, even saw a man walking a huge savanna cat! Picnic area: Many areas to picnic, plenty of tables and benches.
Nice park and beaches although the water is somewhat muddy and murky... Plenty of space for parking, there is a charge for entry after labor day also. Tables and grills are plenty... Green grass and sunny beaches... Ice cream shop across from park within walking distance... Playground: Kid playground Restrooms: Are kept up by the employees Picnic area: Many available
We enjoyed the spray park! Lots of people brought their dogs out to swim. There are also lots of nice picnic areas.
Very nice park, have stayed a few times. Park personnel are abundant and driving around. Park is quiet and family friendly. Lots are spacious and easy to locate. Enjoy the trees throughout and atmosphere. Rode bikes on the Tobico Marsh? Trail very nice and enjoyed the wooded stretch to observation tower.
The park itself is very nice with ample parking. The restrooms were clean and maintained. There are multiple paths to the beach along the shoreline within the park. The area of the beach to the right of the blue path mat is where dogs are allowed on the beach.
