Very nice facility and staff. Dr. Salem, Bella, Cameron, and Brett the anesthesiologist to name a few, were all great. I can't remember everyone's names but I had different nurses throughout the day and night and they were all wonderful. They are very attentive and caring. They make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The ladies who worked in nutrition were very friendly as well and the food was really good. Everyone who cared for me get five stars. Thank you all!!
The nurses were patient and helpful. Tim from radiology and the emergency doctor on call during the late morning/early afternoon shift on Friday 10/6 can kick rocks. Michael the paramedic had to calm me from my second panic attack when the doctor came in and told me it looked like I had a heart attack from my bloodwork. I’m 24 and I came in for nausea and belly pain. Emphasis on looked like. My heart was fine. So they take me for a CT scan w contrast and I politely tell Tim I have severe anxiety and all I need is for him to let me count to 3 before putting the needle in. He says “no I have a process”. Then I’m admitted for 24 hour observation. Not a doctor or nurse observed me unless I asked to pee. By the next morning they ordered blood at 8am to let me leave by 12. No. It took 4 hours to get the blood. 2 hours for the results. The food was okay, the night nurse was great. The day nurse was a sweetie pie. No one spoke to me or updated me about a diagnosis they just said go to the pharmacy. Unprofessional, unprepared and unwanted.
It is a great hospital and the staff i deal with is amazing. They call me by my name when i arrive. Registrar Debbie is always smiling and kind. The ultimate shout out is for radiology nurse Marsha! She is always paying attention for details, professional and in the same time very friendly and kind. She absolutely knows what she is doing. Thank you all who are caring for me
Was needing help because of leg pain unbearable. The woman that checked my BP was very efficient Dr Wohl was very good. Considerate. He listened and heard me. The male nurse was very professional. Good at giving injections. And explaining anything I asked. CT scan tech was good as well. Only negative happening, while on the stretcher. I looked up to see the vent fan was full of dust. Otherwise hospital was very clean. Wait time with treatment was about 3 hours prior to discharge. No complaints.
Sad excuse for a hospital. I've been in with my Mom many times and it's frightening. We go there because it's convenient to home. She doesn't want to go to Faucet because it's so overcrowded and no private rooms. My main complaint is one admission her back was hurting so bad she couldn't move an inch. She was just crying and wanted it all over. The Dr. gave her ONE milligram or morphine twice a day. She got zero relief the entire time she was there. Both of us complained and were ignored. The nurse didn't have enough confidence to call the doctor on call and wake him/her. They made a 77 y/o woman suffer needlessly. The fourth day they gave her steroids and the next day she was able to walk. Why wait until day 4 to give her the steroids? Totally dismissed and ignored with no note of empathy for the patient. She has had 3 serocoversions for A Fib that were without incident. Most of the nursing staff do a good job and are friendly. God forbid if they bother a doctor regarding a patient. Don't question doctor's orders because you'll be silenced. These statements are all opinions.
I was recently discharged from shore point after six days. From the moment I went to the ER, until I was discharged, I received excellent care. Every single person I encountered, housekeeping, nursing, techs, and doctors were exceptional. They all enjoy their jobs, and it was evident from the care I received. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received. Thank you Shore Point.
First I visited Shore Point at Jacaranda Blvd., Venice. My bone density test was done in a timely manner and I did not have to undress… a big plus. Tech was a lovely woman who was as efficient as she was kind. I was in/ out within 20 minutes. Now I’m just waiting to hear about my results.
Great place to Rehab. Teresa, Marie, Jennine and Brian are fantastic people. I would give them and center more stars if available. Made visits very enjoyable and they are very personable to all. I lost weight and got back some of what I lost in my 73 years. You could not have put a group as this together as Shore Point did. Fantastic experience. Kudo"s to all. Thank you so much, Tim
This was the BEST hospital stay I have ever had. From the ER staff to all the nurses, aids, lab staff, and custodial people, dietary personally, ‍ chefs. I was extremely impressed with the quality and the professionalism of all the staff. The entire Third floor nursing staff especially get high marks for making my unexpected stay very welcoming. God bless all for your kindness and caring! Sincerely, Janette L. Port Charlotte, Florida
The nursing staff was wonderful and the doctors were very polite. I was on a pretty strict diet low sodium low cholesterol. I get that. I would try and call the cafeteria or dietary to place an order for my meals. With the low sodium low cholesterol diet. And I always felt like I was hungry, it just didn't seem like the proportions were enough. But that could also be because I was on steroids. But I could have ate two trays at every meal. But they have to go through the nurses station, to get orders placed. The nurses and doctors are there to help us feel better. They are not there to place orders in dietary. I know dietary has their own menu to follow for low cholesterol low sodium diets. I get that. The half the time I order something they wouldn't give me half of it. The food was good actually very good. But they just don't have big enough portions. Or give you a second try. Other than that I have no complaints and I love this hospital the people were nice polite and courteous!
