If I could give this hospital a negative star rating it would be a negative 10. It is by far 1 of the worst hospitals that I ever step foot in. My sick father was sent to this death trap and they barely did anything to help with his care. They never call you to let you know what is going on like most real hospital doctors and nurses do. The whole time that my father was there, I only spoke to his doctor once. It was on the night my father arrived to the hospital. After that day, that was the last time i ever spoke to that doctor about my father's medical condition.Trying to find the nurse or anyone to talk to about the health of your loved one at Fawcett hospital is hopeless. NO ONE is ever to be found. The main lobby closes at 5pm. Only 1 way in which is through the emergency side. The hospital is always short staffed. I made sure to come visit my dad 2X a week to let them know that I am very involved in making sure my father's care is being met. And to just let my presents be known while I was in the middle of trying to move him out of that death trap. If you love your loved ones, you won't ever check them into this place. Don't even let the nursing home next door allow it. They gave me soo many excuses on why they couldn't move my father to another hospital for 2 straight weeks. I was going crazy making calls and finally I found the right person I needed to talk to about the B/S the hospital was spewing. Now my father has been moved and I am just glad he's NOT AT FAWCETT HOSPITAL. They literally was trying to end his life there. That hospital should be SHUT DOWN!!!!
The check in on Sunday was fast and smooth. The upfront check in, doctor, nurse, techs all were professional. The process was very streamlined. They attended to my pain quickly with a morphine drip due to the kidney stone that I had. Cat scan was only 5 minutes and was easy and the overall results were very detailed. All told I was in there about 2 hours before heading home. I was able to pass the stone or it broke up enough to pass. I would recommend this facility.
The staff at Fawcett, from Registration to Food Service are exceptional! I had a wonderful TEAM with the exception of one. Overall, I still will rate as a 5-Star, not everyone can always be on their game. Although, this one should be. My Favorite Nurse, Clarissa, was my Mom away from Mom. Her heart is GOLD and her Bedside manner is BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! Fawcett Definitely needs to give this Nurse credit where credit is due as she exhibits what True Nursing is all about, Patient Care! Thank you Mama Clarissa! Thank you Fawcett for the wonderful care!
Excellent!!! Great staff!!! Easy breezy check in. Mr. registrar was very friendly, very helpful and very professional. He walked me to the X-ray department. The MRI tech Ms Carla was very patient and very considerate. She escorted me out to exit to the parking after the procedure. I was very impressed of their professionalism and “bedside manners”. The visit was early morning of Easter Sunday but the staff are doing their job like it was a normal day. I asked everyone of them if they have plans for the day. Their answer was, it’s their job and they’re happy to be working that day. Awesome! I felt like I was a king on that visit. I was treated very kindly. Thank you HCA! Hats off to your hospitality and care.
I could not have been better treated. The nurses were wonderful, and every need was responded to quickly, efficiently and professionally. I was there for nine days and the food was excellent, the best I have ever had in a health care facility. Although, my diagnosis was grim, I found every doctor, nurse or administrator I met to be excellent, compassionate, and caring.
Returned home from surgery this am. Highly impressed from the moment I walked in the door until the discharge process. Surgery went as smoothly as possible. My husband was able to stay with me until I was about to go in OR. pending discharge my husband and littles we’re able to accompany me. Now home resting and grateful.
Overall a very good experience. There was a problem with the admitting doctor, who was contradicting what the surgeon and I had discussed regarding the anesthesia. She was rude and did not want to hear what had been discussed. So I refused to sign anything until this issue was resolved. She was very upset and walked away. luckily the Doctor was able to correct the situation. After that everything went smoothly, and happy with the results. The nursing staff was excellent.
This review is strictly about the ER. My mom was brought in by ambulance as a stroke watch. The ER was incredibly busy, so I understand the staff was a bit overwhelmed. After 2 hours of not being able to see my mom, or even get an update on her status, I had a family member call and they were able to tell him how she was and that she was being admitted. Why couldn't they just give me that info to me when I asked? They need to hire someone that can work with family members so we aren't sitting in the waiting room worrying about our loved ones... especially when the patient has been brought in by ambulance. Unfortunately the only other option is the hospital across the street, which is even worse.
My dad got in the hospital. 5 stars for one of the best in the world Nurse, Harrison. His heart is GOLD and his Bedside manner is BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! Fawcett Definitely needs to give this Nurse credit where credit is due as he exhibits what True Nursing is all about, Patient Care! Thank you, Harrison!
I have to admit, I had heard a lot of bad things about Fawcett and was fearful of going there. I trusted my surgeon, Dr. Reiss for my hip replacement, so I went. Everything there from being admitted to being released from the hospital went smoothly. Every staff member I came in contact with was helpful and kind. The rooms in the orthopedic department are all private and are very clean and very nice. I would highly recommend Fawcett for hip replacement surgery. Particularly, Dr Reiss and the anterior replacement for hips.
